This review comes after the 2nd year of owning. Out of the box feels fine, is made in China but most everything is now days. I used this watch 6 time the first year I had it due to lack of time to dive. Upon the 2nd summer season I replaced the battery because it was dead even though the watch had been manually turned off. The second battery worked for 2 months then also died. Replaced with a third battery (all by authorized dealers) and found out it's not the battery but the watch is malfunctioning. After reaching out to seac directly they don't have any solutions other than take it to a dive shop, which in turn tell me to contact seac. I know have $200 watch that doesn't work. Save yourself the time and energy, spend a little more get a better watch. Your time and life are worth it.

After only a couple months of (very light) use, mostly out of water, the computer malfunctions when the Light button is pressed. The water resets itself and then turns itself on w/o a way to reboot. You have to manually remove and reinstall the batt for the watch to be used again.Again though, once the watch is on, the Light button should never be pressed as it will automatically reset the watch into a non-useable state.Truly a complete waste of time and money for a "dive watch"

I spent $300 on a nice dive watch for him and he prefers this one because it tells him when he should breathe and he has increased his breath holds tremendously in doing so.

I used the SEAC Driver for 2 years. It worked well for me and helped me increase my breath holds. I dove with it over 40 times and it performed as advertised. Unfortunately, the watch now doesn’t go into the dive mode automatically when submerged or manually. For $260. I feel it was worth it but, I’m still bummed that it is now failing.

TLDR: the watch resets constantly, fails, is not safe for diving. If you’re going to buy a watch, reliable safe dive computers start at the 350 mark. Serious buyers remorse.Like anybody else reading the reviews for this watch, you want an entry level option for a dive watch to gauge your depth and bottom time. This watch is not safe. The entire watch has reset on me 3 times during dives. The backlight doesn’t work, and in the last dive the depth sensor completely failed. It has seen salt water 4 times. It isn’t intuitive to find menus when it functioned as designed, but the software was glitchy right out of the box.I can’t stress it enough, based on the difference between low and high reviews, the quality control of this watch is laughable. Don’t risk getting a lemon.don’t risk your safety on a cheap dive computer.

I have only used this as a watch to tell time and have not had it under water. I felt if I wore it every day I would have zero angst when freediving with it as I would be so familiar with it. HOWEVER, every time I move my wrist a certain way, it throws the time off and I have to reset it:) So yes I am an expert with the freaking watch for all the wrong reasons. It seems like a great spearfishing watch that will be very visible and easy to operate, however, as a time piece it sucks.

Does exactly what you want as a freediver. Alarms for time and/or depth limits, automatic recommended surface interval timer (that auto triggers when you dive/surface!), even a thermometer! It's like a little computer on your wrist. I can focus more on what's in front of me. Even has a light for night-diving! Best thing out there for these use-cases at this price.
