The SE Chasing Hammer features a smooth face for flattening or forging metal, a rounded face for peening and riveting, and flat sides on the handle for an ergonomic grip—an essential tool for artisans, jewelers, machinists, metalsmiths, etc. The head is 2-1/2" long and the diameter is 1". There is a smooth flat face on one side and a rounded face on the other side. This hammer has a wooden handle.

Great head not so great handle.I like the hammer head but had to support the joint on the handle because it wasn't super secure

This is a well made chasing hammer and has a nice balance. I bought three of them and the quality is consistent. It doesn't have the same bounce like you get from the higher quality wood used in Fretz hammers but these are definitely worth having as a beat around hammer or starter chasing hammer.

I got this when I decided to try my hand at wire wrapping and whatnot. It does the job perfectly for a really low price which is great for if you aren't sure you're even gonna enjoy the craft. I've been using it for a month and it's still good as new.

Does the job, very nice chasing hammer for the price, nice fit and finish, I bought this hammer to pin and re pin straight razor scales and from the ones that I've already peened I can't see myself needing another very nicely chromed and finished hammer.

Good hammer, so far it has held up well. I have used it to shape .925 silver and .999 silver. Slight marring to the peening head, but that could have been avoided if I was more careful and annealed more often. Good weight, great handle shape, head is secure no wobble.

This is a nice little hammer for my Straight Razor refurbishing hobby. I bought it specifically to brad the pins on my straight razors when I replace the razor's scales. I have found that it is also perfect for working on my guns too. The small pins that you must drive in for trigger guards can be a pain if you don't have the right hammer and this one is perfect for that. I know that I will find many uses for it besides these though. The handle is great and just fits your hand giving great control for striking delicate parts. It is just the right weight for driving small pins and also for bradding. I don't know how I got by without it for so long!
