Using with a 3 lb kayak anchor. Easy to use. You need to pull in line by hand then reel it back onto the spool. Not meant for anchors but serves the purpose well. 3 settings for reel handle is nice. Release, click and lock.

I tried to save money and it did not work - for what I was using this for. I planned to use this with my dive flag and it didn’t work well. The button to control the release method is not the easiest to use. This would be good if you are laying out a straight line.

We don't use this for diving. We use it for tying our dinghy to trees and rocks when hiking. We have huge tides her in Alaska so we usually have at least 50 feet of rope to tie our dinghy to the shore. However, the rope always gets tangled. This dive reel is strong enough and very easy to reel in and let out without tangling. As it is 150 feel long we can also go ashore in places we could not with a shorter rope.

Works great for a kayak anchor line. Only knock against it is a lack of directional arrows for retraction, i accidentally turned it the wrong way and made a birds nest. Use a marker and make arrows for retraction. The clip on the end fits through anchor trolly loops with no problem.

I use this for my kayak anchor. I got tired of dealing with the line laying everywhere and now I can just reel it up! The line it comes with seems plenty strong but can't use the reel knob to pull up the anchor. I pull up the anchor by grabbing the line and pulling it into the kayak and reel it all up afterwards. I put some sharpie markings on the line every 5 feet so I have a quick depth finder as well. Great product & would purchase again!

Seems like good quality but This dive reel is HUGE! Way too big to fit in a pocket on a dive. Will be returning.

Works well, I like that there is a spot to put a lanyard clip. Only issue is that the reel is kinda small for the amount of rope. It works OK the first time you use it, but it is basically impossible to reel-back the 150 feet of rope as tightly and perfectly as they do it at the factory. As a result the last 10-15 feet or rope starts to bind up and simply won't go. So it is a reel that comes with 150 feet of rope, but only actually holds about 130 LOL.

Have not used it in the water yet, but I purchased the reel for towing a scuba buoy while diving. Delivered super fast, seems to be a very nice product for the price. Bought this to replace a much more expensive and heavier reel. I already feel great about it being much lighter. I think mechanically it is very well thought out, and constructed! My old reel would allow the line to get tangeld in the reel. The case covering on this reel looks like it’ll prevent that from happening which is a great feature. The line lock looks solid, and in my opinion better than my other more expensive reel. I’m not a fan of the carabiner they include with it, do yourself a favor and buy a marine grade bolt snap. Overall super excited, and can’t wait to get it in the water.

Reel worked great. Seems to be very sturdy and way to use. I really like this reel. (Used it for my SMB) no issues at all. I would recommend this reel.
