Is there a child in the world who doesn’t like the idea of sending secret messages in invisible ink?
I haven’t met one yet. These pens will be a hit with any child who can write and who enjoys making up their own games. It’s the simplest thing but it really is fun. These would be a treat for kids who like secret spy games, crime-solving or super-hero games, for those who like passing secret notes or leaving clues that only certain people can see. Write notes with these pens and the words disappear almost immediately. But there is a special UV light at the other end of these pens. Anyone who has one of these can shine that light on the page where the invisible message was written and – voilà! – the message appears! I think these would make brilliant party favors or Valentines Day gifts. I’ll bet teachers could find lots of ways to use them in the classroom and they’d also make terrific end-of-the-school-year gifts to encourage kids to practice handwriting and spelling over the summer

they work! exactly what i wanted...didnt know they came with a UV light either! really nice even one of these lasts a good while!a lot of people are disapointed that the ink isnt colorful but i wasnt expecting that and im glad they arent. also im not sure if invisible ink can be colorful??? i could be wrong.the high quanitity made it easy for me to give one to my sister who was visiting!great work! perfect if you wanna pull a stanford pines and hide secret messages in your journal. in fact it doubles the amount of space you can get in any notebook which has made journaling even more fun! huge reccomendation for anyone who likes journaling or drawing!

My Sunday school kids loved these pens as their reward for learning their Bible verses. A secret message that can't be seen except by the black light on the pen, is great fun.

I ordered these to use for a Halloween blacklight activity and to use as prizes for my students. Overall, I have been very pleased with these. They are easy to write with and are pretty fine, which allows for drawing details. The light is bright enough to see and read the messages, and is easy for kids to turn on. I like that the light turns on by depressing a button and automatically turns off when the button is released. Even when the caps did not end up totally shut, the markers did not dry out right away.My one issue is that these do not work as well on dark paper as on light paper. For writing “secret messages” to friends, this is great. However, we used dark paper for the Halloween activity, and so the pictures drawn with these ended up being faint and a little disappointing. I included a picture of the drawing under black light on the white paper. I did not include a picture of the dark paper because I could not get one where the picture actually showed.Overall I would recommend these as long as you are not intending them for use on dark paper.

I love that they come in so many cute colors. The plastic has nothing to do with the color of the ink or illumination, it is great for telling them apart if multiple kids in your house have one.The fact that the light is in the cap is a must if you ever buy invisible ink pens with an attached light like this. The ink is so invisible that you cannot see what you are writing or drawing if you do not shine the light on the paper while you write. Some people can pull this off, most can't...especially kids.The pens have caps that fit tightly, some are a little difficult to remove, but this will help prevent them from drying out. The caps have a plastic battery stopper to prevent the batteries from being drained before they are opened. The little back end of the pen is wiggly...I think that the purpose of it may be to force ink from the main body of the pen toward the tip. I am not certain about this because the pens are so new that they don't need more ink. I pressed on it and it seems like the tip was more wet, but that might just be my imagination. Regardless, they write very well, the moisture content is great.There is a place along the side of several of the caps where the plastic had oozed out of the mold while being made. It is a little bit sharp but I don't think it would cut anyone. It just doesn't look fantastic. I tried to scrape it off thinking it would pop off easily. It did not. It's not a big deal, it's just not perfect.The lights flicker a bit. They stay on, but they do not hold a steady brightness.4 stars out of 5. I would order them again as party favors, or a little gift along with a notepad. I am sure there are some that are sturdier, with lights that don't flicker, and that don't have any rough plastic part seams.
