About this item

  • Reusable glow sticks attach to items you want to find in the dark
  • Wear the UVO Necklace to make yourself or someone else more visible in the dark
  • Use the Small UVPaqlite as a battery free night light in a small tent or area
  • These lights are ideal for campers, backpackers, and emergency preparedness
  • Our lights never wear out, expire, or degrade over time use them every night forever.

The Scout Pack contains: 2 reusable glow sticks that can be attached to items you need to find in the dark, a small UV Paqlite that can be hung up inside a dark environment, like a 2-3 person tent, to provide a night light illumination all night long, and a UVO Necklace that is a light source you can wear, it will make you or something else more visible in the darkness. All of products use our specially formulated glow in the dark crystals that absorbs any light to recharge (sunlight, LEDs, ambient room light), glow all night long (+10hours), and last forever. Our light sources are designed to be light weight, waterproof, and can be used anywhere. Send your scout off to camp with reusable and reliable light sources. This combo is also great for bug out bags, go bags, emergency kits, and 72 hours kits. All of our products work best when your eyes are fully adjusted to dark because the light dims out over night. Just remember traditional break and shake glow sticks are brighter but they are not reusable. Our loyal customers find that the reusability outweighs the brightness in most situations.

These glow with only a little charging under a lamp. We use these instead of travelling with night lights.

All you have to do is set this out briefly in the sun and you have a soft glow of a light. Perfect when staying at a hotel and you need a marker on your way to the bathroom during the night.

Work well, I use them in several applications, It seems they might glow longer with more fill, or at least brighter?

What an interesting product!I bought the variety pack. These will be great markers in the dark.NOTE: It doesn’t replace a flashlight, nor can it replace a chem light. These rugged products just keeps glowing! The glow eventually dims, but quickly brightens up after just hitting it with a strong light for a few seconds.

Are these things nearly worthless as a light source? Ya of course, they are a passive glow tool. Are they well made and great versions of passive glow tools at a great price? Ya, I hang one on my lantern hook for example, or on a trip line, or on things that could need to be found in the dark. They give enough light to be found in dark without needing a flashlight.

Here are some pics of what this looks like after getting hit with 10,000 lumens (if you don't know much about light, 10,000 lumens is 5x - 10x brighter than an average fairly bright flashlight, or 2x - 5x brighter than car headlights on 'high') for a few seconds. I've put a competitor's (Gear Aid Ni Glo) product alongside it for comparison. The UVPaqlites are bigger, which makes them a bit more visible: obviously when you're dealing with a very faint light source, a small one will be harder to see than a big one, but the big ones also might not fit on small zipper pulls and so on.As you can see, these are only ok, they last maybe 10 - 20 minutes at a decent brightness then get very faint. You could probably not use this to read after 10 - 20 minutes without recharging it. It would not make an effective nightlight after 10 - 20 minutes, either. I would not trust this to be visible for longer than 10 - 20 minutes on a dive, and while yes, you can recharge it, you might need to set a repeating alarm to remember to do so on dives.I don't really suggest buying these unless you're in a hurry, as you can make them on your own, very easily, and save a lot of money. Look for youtube videos about making reusable glow sticks and glow cubes using glow powder like this:https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01M0RUBKV/ mixed with glycerin, resin or silicone caulk (Be aware that if you use a silicone caulk that cures with humidity, it can leak acids which are NOT safe for children, and may even cause bleeding if left pressed directly against skin for extended periods of time). If you're wealthy, or you really need something effective, buy newly manufactured green tritium vials instead. This has nothing on tritium.

it works great.... the glow sticks and UVO Necklace are embedded in some sort of epoxy and the loose crystal are in in a sealed bag.it needs to be exposed to light in order to work. The green cells/crystals absorb light while exposed and glow in the darkness. If you leave it in your bag and get it out at night it won't work unless you flash light on it.Sunlight works the best but I bought in a separate instance, a UV black light as a flashlight, so after the sun sets, or just before going to bed or during the night, if the light is too dimmed, a quick shine of the UV flashlight and the items are lit up and very bright, likely the same for a normal flashlight. A really good buy....so, no need for cyalumes/chem lights anymore...It is not made to replace a flashlight or a headlamp. It is not as bright as cyalumes/chem lights but the UVPaqlite work everyday, so no need to carry a box for a full week saving spaces for other items. Furthermore, a normal cyalume/chem light need to be disposed in the garbage, meaning that it will become trash. The UVPaqlite doesn't therefore, making it somewhat eco-friendly and limit the trash. You can hang one in the tent, shine some light on it, it will be bright the whole night... enough that if you wake up, will be able to see in the darkness but it won't blind you.

I bought these to use as location markers for survival bags or the kids if the car breaks down at night. I would recommend having a flashlight or lantern in addition to these "glow sticks." As stated in other reviews, these plastic encased "glow sticks" do not emit much light unless they are placed directly in front of a flashlight or lamp. They do glow more brightly when "activated " by another light source but even then they work more as glowing markers than providing actual light/brightness. You may be able to read a map or paperwork which is held within a foot or so of the glowing material but you can't direct the light at an area or "shine" it at something to illuminate it. They will retain their glow for hours and can be reactivated anytime you expose them to a bright light. i think after experimenting with them that they will work best when they are attached to an article of clothing, any bag/purse, a pet's collar or around my little ones as a necklace. If you have to set your bag/computer bag/purse/toolbox/coat down in the dark you will be able to locate it by the glow. If the little ones or pets wander off you can find them by the glow of their "glow stick."Pros:Small and compactCan be attached to almost anythingCan be "reactivated" indefinitelyNo messy chemicalsCons:Not very brightCan't be used as a primary light sourceNeeds another light to activateI like having these as an extra option but wouldn't rely on them to help me find my way home in the dark. I will carry them in my get home bag as extra markers to be seen by rescue personnel or to mark locations with.
