If you stack lines on a downrigger, these are the way to go. They're built with Scotty's typical high level of quality.

these are great. grip well. strong 18" leader; easy to attach to cable. i'm a novice fisherman and have used other brands before and experienced poor hold, sticking rubber, jaws getting out of alignment, and so on. a charter captain recommended these to me. i can see why and great price on amazon.

Should have bought this years ago!! If I had a dime for every time my line got twirled up with the cannon ball I'd be rich!! Now I simply drop the ball a couple feet out of the way then clip this on the cannon ball line with one hand no less. Super simply work great!! Pincer is adjustable.... worked just great I love the thing. Nice quality construction as well.

Have been buying the releases from Cannon for years and have been miserable - so decided to give these a try. Couldn't be happier. First as a disclaimer, we fish lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, so we don't really do "heavy duty" trolling. I love how easy it is to just set the line in these and how well they hold and release without much fuss. And as far as attaching them as stackers - couldn't be easier. FAR superior to anything else out there. At least for how we fish (our downriggers are on pedestal mounts on the back of a pontoon boat, so we just clip them on and go on the fly). Lastly - can't beat the price. I'll never use anything else again.

I love how these work! Just attaches to the downrigger cable for easy stacking of rods. Does not slip I use this in Lake Ontario for salmon fishing.

I should have bought this years ago. I run one rigger on my 14' aluminum and in rough water that's usually all I can reliably put down without getting lines tangled. This clip allowed me to run simultaneously at 20' and 40'. This clip coupled with an outstanding week of fishing in Canada had me literally catching two fish at a time at least 10-15 times. I would come through a bait ball and both rods would hit. In fact just looking at the pic of this clip is giving me an overwhelming urge to get back in the boat ASAP!

I use these for trolling in Seward AK and they work great. A lot of jellyfish in the area and they don't release like the smaller clips when a jellyfish hits the line. I haven't had one not release when a silver or king hits! They are a bit harder to get to release when doing a bait check would be the only down side but that's workable.
