The glass is quality-no bubbles or waviness. The ground glass surfaces are uniform. The lids comes off and on easily.Impressions: This is a good weighing bottle. The lid fits and is easy to manipulate. The knob on top is easy to grasp even with gloves. It's nice and wide for ease of filling without contacting the sides and soiling the ground glass. Lightweight enough to keep all your sig figs with a cheaper balance. Not every lab needs these but when you do, they're indespensable.Now for the confession. I'm retired so I won't be using it in a professional capacity. If I was still active in my profession I would certainly be happy to use it for weighing out standards. As it is, I'm a bit of a nerd and cool glassware was always one of my favorite parts of being a lab person so I thought it looked cool and wanted it and that's enough reason for me. I'll display it on my hutch and use it for saffron or a spice blend or something. No matter what I do, it'll make me smile.But if you're in an active lab situation, this will do all you need it to for weighing and short-term reagent storage.
