Writing by Hand Improves Memory

Writing in workbook pages, as opposed to typing on a computer, can help kids focus and learn. Writing by hand fires up specific areas of a child's brain, improving the ability to both remember what he or she learns and to think of new ideas.

Longer Retention

Kids Love Technology

School Zone’s digital content supports children’s learning goals by enhancing problem-solving and critical thinking, as well as reinforcing skills through multisensory activities. It also improves language skills, increases motivation to stay on task, and stimulates curiosity and imagination.

Not Just for Fun

When kids play games together, they learn a healthy sense of competition and experience the joy of winning and empathy for losing. Along the way, they learn collaboration, cooperation, and problem-solving. Creative play stimulates imagination and nurtures emotional well-being.

A bit too easy for my 5 year old. It took him about 10 min to do the WHOLE book

My 5 year old son really enjoyed this maze book. He’s new to mazes so the difficulty was just right for him - he was able to grab the book and successfully complete the mazes on his own, keeping him occupied for a while. I could see it being too easy for others (for instance, my 7 year old daughter). It is well made with colourful pages and a different theme for each page.

I gave this maze book to my almost 3 year old for Christmas and he loves it! He immediately wanted a pencil to do the first maze, which he did on his own (though not completely accurate, and actually took me a minute just now to see the right path, lol). He had already filled up a couple of other maze books, he’s been doing them since the summer. This one seems to be the perfect difficulty level for him to grow with; we haven’t done some of the harder ones yet. There are a lot of animal themed mazes in the book and they are interesting, one is “help the chicken cross the road”. I mainly just wanted one that was fun and interesting for him so he continues to enjoy them, and this hits the mark! I included the first one he did plus a few pictures of random mazes for reference. I would say the age range on the book is correct but it is also interesting enough for late 2’s and early 3’s who enjoy mazes.

My four year old loves puzzles and mazes. He loved the book but completed over half of the pages within a few minutes. It would be a great beginner maze book or for those needing help with their fine motor skills.

She absolutely loves maze puzzles and this book was a great travel option for our road-trip. A lot of fun different mazes, some easier, some more difficult for her so it’s perfect to keep her busy!

Very colourful. Pages are of good quality. If done with pencil, easily erased for another time.

My 4 year old loved the mazes, though he did them all (64 mazes) in about 2 sittings, so we could have appreciated a larger collection. Other than that it's really good; every maze has a character (usually an animal) that needs to get to it its target, rather than just arrows for in and out, which is much more appealing to 4-6 year olds. Also, all 64 pages are in colour. If the work is done in pencil, it can be erased and done again.

Our preschooler really loves these. I keep thinking I should photocopy the pages before I give them so we can do them more than once. But I never get around to it. But for the price and the hours he spends on these. I can totally justify it. They are nice and bright and colorful. Have lots of different mazes and best of all - He's learning!

The age recommendation on the cover of the book is from 4 -6. The mazes are very simply and easy and younger children would be able to do them. My 5 year old flew through the book with no problems. This would have been a good book for him when he was 3 to 4. The book was way too easy for him. However this would be a good first book to introduce mazes. There are 64 mazes in the book and the pages are in color. There is a variety of pictures and scenes that make the book interesting. It's a good very basic beginnger book. Also the review lists the book as having 3-D glasses included. There were no glasses included and I did not see anywhere in the book about the book being 3-D. In the review it states "This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title." I would not purchase the book expecting it to be a 3-D maze book.
