This book has a variety of subjects with colors and also has answer key. The subjects are color coordinated.

I have the PreK, Kinder, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and 3rd grade volumes of this book. I do see how they are all very similar but adds a little bit more information in each advancing grade level. I do think that a student needs to have a parent or other adult guide them through this because what is being asked isn't always understood by the student independently. I set my children up with the instructions per page and go through one as an example and it's easy to go from there independently. Overall, I am a huge fan of these as a guided simple curriculum as a teacher and a homeschooling mom.

This second-grade workbook is really helpful for my kids aged 8. It has 320 pages full of fun and educational activities that cover a lot of subjects. The only thing is that some pages are a bit repetitive.

This book is colourful, interesting, challenging and most important - kids love it! We homeschool our 3 kids and they all love books of BIG. Our daughter especially loved this one and was spending days in intensive study, without me having to remind her that it is time for her to learn.

The skill of the book for my 6, 7 yr olds was excellent! It hit a lot of areas of learning in the required subjects including English, Math, Science, including Vocabulary, Writing, Reading, Science, Math, Graphing… such as Words, and Analysis; Writing and parts of a sentence, Parts of Speech, Nouns, Verbs, Pronouns, Adjectives, Antonyms, Synonyms, Homophones, Contractions and Blends; Writing- understanding what you read and write; Math from Before n After, Number placement, Number facts, 1, 2,3, number add/subtraction; Problem solving, Grouping, Before, Between, After/ Greater n Less/ single, double, and 3 digit adding n subtraction/ Graphs, Tally’s, Pictographs, Bar graphs/ Money, Maps, Measurements, Clocks, Calendars, and introductions to Multiplication/. Science, including Life Science, and Earth Science, among many other well- rounded subjects!! They didn’t skimp on learning and spent a good bit of time for the child to grasp and hang onto what they were learning! Worked well with some other materials I had and alone! My children have enjoyed this book!!! Very informative!!!!! As a homeschooling Mom- I recommend this book!!!

Using for homeschooling. This book covers a lot of the grade two curriculum in Canada. It is a colourful book which makes the exercises fun to do for children. I’d say it’s a moderately challenging book for a grade one student. Lots of material covered in it from clocks and math, to weather and maps and a few science experiments. Loads of reading comprehension and tally charts as well. Good supplemental book!
