Sharps are exactly what they say sharp to penetrate cottons or woven fabrics, the 70 would be for cottons, and the 90s for canvas, high number for thicker fabrics. I quilt and piecing is best with 70 or 80 microtex. I quilt with 90. I paper piece with 90. Good luck and happy sewing! Also 40 or 50 weight thread is good with sharp needles.

Good price. I have started switching out my needles more often and makes a big difference in my quality of sewing.

Fast shipping. These Schmetz size 70 Microtex needles are impossible to find at brick and mortar stores and I’ve been looking for this specific needle in this size, forever! The price for the quantity is great, so I feel like I got a great deal for a trusted product!

These are your standard sewing machine needles. They come in a nice quantity and it makes it so much cheaper than buying them in the big box stores. The markup is horrible in the stores. I’m working on a project that is difficult and I’ve been snapping needles left and right. I could not afford to keep going back to the big store for these. So glad I’m buying these on Amazon. They are the real deal. They’ve performed just as expected from this brand.

I’m a huge fan of Schmitz needles for their quality. I quilt, embroider and do in the hoop projects on a Janome, Baby Lock Solaris and Baby Lock Venture. Needless to say...I need a variety of needles. If I’m not switching them out due to hours of use or project type...I’m breaking them so keep a lot on hand. The microtex (sharps) are what is recommended for most of the in the hoop projects I do (Anita Goodesign) and these are my first choice. I also like the plastic case versus a paper sleeve. You can’t go wrong here.
