Schaller is the best strap lock available. I use it on all of my most precious gear - hasn't failed me yet. These are very easy to install. One issue I've found is that most straps don't have a hole that's big enough for the button to fit through. Get yourself a cheap set of leather punches and enlarge the hole - issue solved. Great product for the money!

Make sure to cinch down the strap end real good, and make sure the guitar-side button sits in the correctly oriented u-shaped receptacle.One caveat: matching the threads of the outgoing button screw is a crapshoot - be careful not to replace them as the wood will strip out if you do it more than a few times.

These are great strap locks. I have several of the Fender strap locks and they work great as well, but these attach easier to the strap.

The new version is a worthwhile upgrade. Much easier to put on the strap. A must to keep your guitar safe from falling off the strap.

for strap locks there are pricey. the new design definitely shows improvements and installing these was very easy. you have to go to schaller's site to find the instruction video (which wasn't very obviously located at first). after you fast forward through the self-congratulating parts the video helps a lot in explaining how it all works.CAUTION: these strap locks are longer which makes them easier to secure to a thick leather strap but they will hit the floor when using a low profile guitar/bass stand like the hercules folding stand (GS200B).the packagning looks nice but is excessive. more sustainable packaging would merit a 5th star.
