instructions conflict. The seller does not know what they are talking about. there instructions conflict with the manufactures instructions. I will follow the manufactures instructions. People should not sell and add there own instructions. I had to do extra research and that cost me time and aggravation. The instructions on the white computer paper that where in the box are different then the instructions on the container.Buyer beware I guess...One pisssed off customer

Darkens interior wood but protects. Cedar scent is lighter afterwards. I sorted the oil, ran a cycle the next day then left for vacation for 9days. Returned ran a cycle, fan w/door open for 3-4 hours and one more cycle. It felt fine to going in after all that.Recommended tools- oil, cover for heater & rocks, Sm. Pump/sprayer, paint brush and tile sponge.

Easy application, looks great, but doesn't smell anything close to cedar, oil smell is the only way to describe, not bad, just not cedar, oh, no smoke.

I was skeptical because of the cost but pleasantly surprised by the results.Does a great job conditioning the wood. Doesn't leave a residue but my sauna did smoke for several cycles after treating the wood.

Amazing, simple amazing! This restored my sauna to like new condition. Yes, the color of the wood has a darker appearance afterwards. it also gives the wood more depth illuminating various features of the wood grain. In my case, old sweat rings disappeared and even a few spaces where the previous owner had used tape, are difficult to see. I can see them because I know where to look. I completely disassembled my entire sauna to ensure every piece of wood was protected with a nice coating of this product. I used the entire gallon in my three man sauna. This may have been a little more than was needed because I found I had to add a few more heating cycles before the sauna could be used because there was too much oily vapor released for the first couple. I also believe I needed a few more heating cycles because my sauna only goes to 140 F and as I recall the directions tell you to set the heating cycle to 160 F.

I purchased it based on all positive reviews. As soon as I opened the box, and read their note, I realized that reviews can't be trusted anymore. Their note says "If you enjoy our product, be sure to leave a remark on amazon. We often return the favor by sending the free Scandia hydrometer". In other words if you post good rating you will receive a gift.Based on the instruction, I heated sauna to 90 and applied the oil. After that I heated to 160 and opened the door to let it cool of and kept the door open for 24 hours. Next day, when I turned on the sauna, I use 190F, the room was filled with cloud of smoke. I thought that after a while it will go away. I opened the door and ventilated the room. Tried 3 times, still smoke, turned the temperature off and let the door open. Next day same story. And even next day. On the forth day, my cedar began to be lighter, but smoke doesn't go away. Their oil smoke smells like machine oil ughh. I used my new sauna for more than a month and never had any smoke. Finally, I gave up, mixed water with dish soup and began to wash everything away, rinsing it with water hose. My wood turned to almost the same color as it was before treatment but the moment the sauna reaches 190F it still gives the cloud of smoke. I washed everything second time, using the same method. It still produces smoke under 190F, and releases some oil to my glass door.I am returning this non working item and will do research how to get rid of this oil. My brother used more expensive product based on paraffin oil and didn't have this issue using the same temperature I used.If you use temperature 170F or below then you should be fine, but not with higher temperatures.
