Our dogs went crazy for these treats so I assume these treats taste pretty darn good to them and I like the one ingredient kind of treats to ensure the dogs are eating healthier snack/treats. We are always on the lookout for these healthier kinds of snacks and this one our dogs really liked (we have both a little dachshund dog and big lab mix and they both loved these snacks). Just be sure you feed these to your dogs in a more contained area of your house or even outside because they can get a little messy (from the crunchiness) but your dogs will definitely thank you! :-)

Betsy our dog has allergies and can only eat fish and sweet potatoes! She loves crunching through the cod skins. They smell quite fishy of course, but that is one of the attractive features for Bestsy! I have bought them previously and will continue to give them to her as a special treat!

I had to keep these outside the house since they are so so smelly. But my dog goes crazy for them - so no complaints.

The smell is strong, but that's how you know it's real fish. My Chihuahua Mix usually hates treats that are big and require chewing, but he will GLADLY work on one of these rolls for an hour. It's healthy, but makes a big mess (scales and flakes everywhere). I gave one to my brother's 73lb pitbull as well, that dog approved also. Didn't last an hour with him though.

Great nutritious healthy snack that my little shih tzu loves to chew on. I would give it 5 stars if it were half the length for small dogs and less messy with all the scales that get left behind :-)

Boy dooes he ever. When I say cod skin, he knows what I’m talking about. I gave the flavor 5 stars based on my dogs reaction but I personally don’t know what they taste like. Yes, they smell a little fishy and if you put them in a toy that gets wet, you’re gonna have a stinky mess. The size has been a bit inconstint from batch to batch. First order were wafers. Second order were cubes. I could still work with them though. Overall great product.

there are times when I wish I was one of my dogs. I believe they were smiling when they got a whiff of the cod skins before gobbling them down. my sense of smell has been greatly diminished for a number of years now, so I have no idea if the skins smelled offensive. The dogs didn't seem to mind the odor other than the drooling it caused that landed on the floor causing them to slip on it later....too bad researchers can't figure out a way to market drool as a lubricating sealant of some kind. Anyway, there was a general consensus among the dogs, that it is a delicious product and if they found these skins on the beach, they would roll on the. them before devouring them whole. I have purchased these skins thru a different vendor but the price thru amazon is very reasonable. Thank God the dogs have not figured out how to operate the computer because they know where the credit cards are kept.

These say cod skin, but they seem to have more than just skin. I am not going to lie, they are a little gross to look at (dried fish fin, anyone?) but omg the dogs love them. They are super crunchy and they love the taste. It sounds like they are eating potato chips. I have learned not to look at the squares, as I don't want to see the identifiable bits - I never saw eyes or anything but that is why I stopped looking. What matters is that the puppers love them and they do. Really good for allergic pups, as they are grain free, poultry free, everything but fish free. They seem expensive but for a solid fish protein snack, they are very reasonably priced. Also, the drying seems to do something to the smell, because they don't smell super fishy and the dog breath smells like dog breath and not fish breath. Not sure if that is good or bad, but you get the point.

Good product, however it says it's fine for all-size dogs. My 7 lb chihuahua has trouble with these, so I actually have to use scissors to break them up. Maybe consider making two sizes? I love that the product is fish based and all natural.
