I did not use carb as the adjustment screws were in different locations and would not fit in saw body.

I used this carburetor on an old MS250 that was handed down to me, and it fires up every time just like it's supposed to. A rather large tree had fallen in my backyard, and this carburetor has proven reliable through many start-ups. There are no limiter caps on the carburetor, so you can adjust your chainsaw to your liking. The air filter clamped on just like the OEM part, and the extra parts included made it a solid deal. Plus, the gasket was the correct one.

My experience is like many others forget to take the gas out of your chainsaw for one season and it won’t start. Initially rebuild the carburetor on mine suggested buying one of these expensive kits off Amazon. I was a little because of the low price and a bunch of parts that I didn’t feel I needed a believer to swap out the carburetor things that were easily accessible. I did also exchange just because of the trash. And it’s been running great ever since.

I have 2 saws that I picked up cheap that wouldn’t run. Went through everything, rebuilt and cleaned the OEM carbs, still wouldn’t run. Finally broke down and bought 2 of these. Bolted one on, started right up and even idled back down. Bolted the other one, didn’t start right up but after a couple minutes of tuning I got it running nice and smooth. STIHL 021 (this is the one I had to adjust but it also had a different style OEM carb.STIHL MS250 (fired on the first pull)

Had an MS250 that would fire up but as soon as you pulled the throttle it would die. Carb rebuild kit through stihl was 20 bucks. Then I saw this unit here for 15 bucks. 20 minutes to swap the old one out and put the new one in. The saw fired right up and ran like a new saw. Best 15 bucks I have spent in a while. I did not have to adjust any settings the saw idles just fine and runs great while under load.

Ordered for my Stihl 021 and arrived when it said it would. Had already ordered just the carb but it still wouldn't start. Figured I'd order this kit and do it all over again but replace the fuel line as well. Install was pretty straight forward. Fired first pull and was running like new on the second. I'll adjust the carb next time I use it but it's pretty darn close out of the box. Only negative is the new air cleaner assembly wouldn't fit with my case so I used the old one. Other than that all the parts are great and fit. Gonna see if they sell one for my 031.

I bought this kit to replace a bad carb on a Stihl 210C limbing saw. I only used the carb in this kit, and not the other items. It seemed like a cheap risk to take to see if it actually works. Like others have commented, the air screws don't line up with the stock rubber sleeves very well, but so far I haven't had to adjust anything. The saw fired right up and ran great. I used the saw for 5 hours of limbing one day and 3 hours of limbing the next. It still is running great.Problem: The only real problem I have with it is that the choke linkage sticks when the saw is first started. This will make the saw run "rich" and blubber on the top end. I first start the saw with the choke on when cold. After warming the engine slightly, I then remove the air filter cover and manually shove the linkage (butterfly) open. Then I replace the air filter cover and start the saw. It then runs fine for the duration. I can live with this for a $12 carb. We will see how long it lasts.
