Finally upgraded from earplugs are I wanted to take a chance on these as I had heard good things and was recommended the brand from a friend. For what I considered entry level they are a great price point and cheaper than buying at the local outdoors store. Very comfortable to wear, both the head band and the gel ear pads are an added value that you sometimes have to pay extra with the other more expensive brands. The adjustment knobs are easy to feel and spin when wearing, I did have to get use to these, as this is my first sent of electronic earmuffs. The fold up nicely and are what I believe very compact. They fit in my range bag within a side pouch as they are not bulky.Would highly recommend to anyone looking to upgrade from earplugs.

These are a fantastic deal if you are buying these at the $20 price or less. They are easily worth $40 or more. They have the gel ear pads which come standard on these models but are an upgrade on competitor models. If you are at the range for more than 2 hours at a time you will be glad you have these electronic muffs over others. I own several more recognized brands such as walkers and howard lieght brands. These seem to work just as well and are more comfortable. You can adjust the sound and easily hear voice commands or game better, yet cancels out the sound of gunshots. These muffs make shooting much safer since users can hear commands. At the current price I would buy a few extra. Construction seems sturdy and the muffs do come with energizer batteries. They do make a tone when they are turned on. This can be a minor nuisance, but it does let you know they are working.

These are well-made and of quality antireflective materials. Time will tell on durability, but these Savior electronic muffs look great and feel sturdy. The design folds compactly. Single rotary control feels smooth and is easy to use with gloves. The included gel ear surrounds are very comfortable and seal well. Loud impulse noise is damped down to 82dB, but not silenced as in more primitive designs. Your hearing is not interrupted by a mute circuit. These Apollo 11 muffs amplify ambient sound very clearly. When turning them up indoors I thought I was hearing the dreaded hiss, but it was a small fan in the next room rendered suddenly very audible. The amped sound is detailed and well-localized. Pinpointing sound with these is completely natural. These earmuffs don't have Bluetooth and don't play iTunes. They do provide excellent situational awareness without distraction. These should be ideal out in the woods, at the range, or in a quiet house.Hugely recommended.

Overall great build quality and sound. Only negative is wish the volume button was easier to use with gloves on. Sounds is great but not sure it is 24 nrr, seems more like a 20 nrr. Either way works good ans the battery life is great. It holds up to occasional water from snow melt.

I was able to get them on sale for $20 and didn't think they'd be much but wow was I wrong. I wished I would have done more research prior because I would have bought 3 pairs! Savior is a solid company that makes really nice bags and gear and these ear pro are just as well made. They are comfortable, sound amazing, and come feature rich. I like that they come with gel ear pads, velcro for patches, comes with a flag patch and one to right your name on. Absolutely solid, even at full price I honestly would go with these and recommend them over my 3 pairs of walkers I already own. Mind you I paid more and had to buy the gel ear pads separately for the walkers and they don't even include a velcro area! I'm hoping they go on sale again because I'll be buying more or at least replacing my other walkers with these when they kick it. But this pair will be my main set!

I saw that Savior Equipment has branched out their product line into electronic hearing and really wanted to try them. I paid for these out of my pocket. This is NOT paid review. They were at a low price, probably temporary introductory price, not sure. For the price I got them, I feel like I ripped off Savior. These are very good ear pro.First, let me say I have a couple of Savior bags. Very high quality bags that really prove the "you get what you pay for" cliche. Savior is NOT the cheapest BAG, but the quality far exceeds the price differential. I say this to show my expectation of anything with the Savior Equipment label on it.Electronic Hearing Protection review:Summary for the TLDR'ers:Out of the box, these felt great. Very solid. Heavier than other brands. The headband was very tight as compared to others. Gel pads are very comfortable if slightly warmer. Flag and label patches are nice. Noise cancellation is excellent. There is a loud beep when turning on and another when turning off. I like that audible notification. I highly recommend these Savior Equipment Apollo hearing protection.Ear pads:The gel ear pads are the first gel I've tried so I can't compare them to other GEL pads. Compared to regular foam pads, they are much more comfortable. Sitting ON your ear, they feel very good. The seam in the middle radius of the pad seems like it may accumulate sweat and goo. That may make them a little harder to clean. They seem to get a little sweatier than regular pads, probably because the gel conforms to your ear shape better than foam which is a good thing. And, the comfort of gel is worth it to me. Basically, they really feel good.Electronics:The actual noise suppression is the killer app for ear pro. These worked very well. They are clearly better electronics than many I have used. I have Howard Leight's and a Leight knockoff called "Zohan". They both work and feel good, but they "cut out" completely (silence) for a very short time when the decibel limit is reached. Other, cheaper brands I own cut out far TOO LONG after a threshold limit. The Savior just cuts the LOUD noise and keeps the background noise. Maybe it's just a faster reaction time opening and closing the noise gate, but regardless...it's better. Sound is very clear. As another reviewer noted, I could hear the "whooshing" of the ventilation. It was very obvious. Not a bad thing at all, but I've never noticed it as much with other brands of electronic ear pro. Maybe they are just more sensitive overall? Not sure, but not an issue for me. These sound very good and do the job they're paid to do.Asthetics:These look good. I prefer OD myself, but black was on sale for a stupid cheap (intoductory?) price, so black it is! The patches are very nice add ons. I've previously considered buying other brands because they have patches. These have a flag on one side and a "name label" on the other. This is good since I got 2 identical sets, one for me and one for the wife. Now we can clearly label them...included in the price. I saw another reviewed say the wires look like "cat ears". Factcheck = true. Her solution was to tuck them under the velcro morale patches which worked for her, and that worked for me. So, that's a non-issue IMO.Negatives? I see only a few, minor things that could be considered "negatives" by some:1) The headband may be tighter than some would like, but I like a snug fit.2) The wires look like "cat ears" Tuck them under the patches. Done.3) The volume adjust knob is a little, tight/"plasticy". I am used to the Howard Leight and Zohan knobs which feel very good and smooth. This is a very minor complaint, but the one thing I really prefer about the other brands.4) The battery compartment door was the hardest to get off of any of the 3 brands I mentioned. It was doable and may get easier after several times. But it was noticeably more difficult. I can see some people really having a heard time opening them. Older and younger people may need assistance.
