These strings sound great on my Cordoba Stage, and the higher tension makes the guitar play easier.

As a reputed CG dealer in the past, I have strung-up and played many, many high-end instruments. I prefer high tension on most or even extra hard. This set of Savarez is a great sounding set with great feel. pronounced basses, and unparalleled trebles that simply shine. The intonation settles within a reasonable amount of time and the longevity won't disappoint.I also play jazz and have these strings on my nylon cutaway where they also sound balanced and fantastic when using a pick. I love these strings. Keep in mind, like anything else, strings are subjective.Happy playing and enjoy!

These strings are the best sounding nylons I've tried. However, these are VERY high tension for nylon strings, so I would keep that in mind before purchasing. If your guitar can not handle a lot of tension I would maybe consider getting the normal tension version. The clarity and resonance these provide is unmatched! I personally love the feel of the high tension strings as well. These will be my go to for years.

I purchased these strings to replace so old string on my Yamaha.I was not disappointed by these in the slightest. I've only played guitar for about a year and a half, the labels for each individual string made it easy for me to know which string belonged where. I also found the strings weren't damaged during shipping or anything like that there were no kinks or anything on the strings when they arrived. As far as sound, these are a dream. They have really good sustain and the tone is very bright. What immediately stood out to me was how they felt on my fingers. While you can certainly tell the high tension and require a bit more strength to fret correctly they are very smooth and easy to move up and down the fretboard.I've had these for 6 months and I play them for at least a half hour a day and they still sound how they did when I first tuned them up. All and all i couldn't ask for more out of guitar strings definitely worth the money.

I prefer red card. All in all…good strings for a practice guitar. Fairly balanced sound - not as good as red card.

The Savarez 500AJ are my favorites after the 500CJ that came on my sweet Cordoba C3M. Both sets have the rich deep singing magic of the Corum bases, and the CJ Cristal trebles are excellent. But I find the carbon Alliance trebles on the AJ set just more full and sweet and magical. I tried a number of other very nice strings from D'Addario, La Bella, and Savarez in both regular and high tension. The Savarez 500AJ are my clear favorites! I would say they produce a sweet ringing singing sound with a little something extra. I'm not a pro, but play a little each day, and the high tension AJ strings are no problem for my left hand fingers. Now several years later I still love these Savarez 500AJ. I've used many sets, 2-3 times per year. But I tried D'Addario Fluorocarbons high tension just to follow Tommy Emanuel's advice to try new strings every now and then to wake up your guitar. Those Pro-Arte EJ46FF I put on 11 months ago sounded great at the time and still sound great now. I have some new Savarez 500AJ to put on, but each time I try my guitar with the Pro-Arte's,, they still sound so good I don't feel like wasting my time changing strings. So that's puts the D'Addario and Savarez fluorocarbons almost in a tie for my favorite strings. I said "almost" because I have been happy for years with Savarez, and I love Cordoba guitars which ship with Savarez, so Savarez remains first choice for me.

My Cordoba guitar came new with the Savarez $9.00 500CJ yellow pack of strings on it. They sounded okay, but I knew that with the right strings my guitar would sound great, and boy oh boy, these strings are it! Great trebles, balanced lows, excellent tone, and they are much louder than the strings that came on my guitar. It seems, also, that the treble strings are smaller in diameter than standard strings, which is something I like. I'm sure glad I changed out my strings for these. These strings really shine on the recordings I've done--the notes are clear and sound just right to me, as opposed to way my guitar sounded with the original strings on it--a little too bassy and muffled. Yeah...they're a little more expensive, but the value, to me, is more than worth the extra cost. Additionally, after some years of trying various strings, I have found that I am especially fond of two types of strings on my guitar: these 500AJs and the Hannabach Goldin strings. Both, to my ear, sound similar both live and in recording; however, I believe that I get more projection from the Savarez strings, and they are less than half the price of the Hannabach. As far as I am concerned, you can't go wrong with either of these strings.
