These strings made a huge improvement over the factory strings on a Yamaha classical that I own. Savarez strings have a deep, warm, mellow tone that produce a gentle yet punchy tone.

This took 1 month to come from Japan, I was patient. But I cannot believe the poor quality control. When I was winding the A string on, it snapped. I about had a heart attack since the concert is 4 days and this is my only Savarez set. Luckily I saved my La Bella’s when I took them off juust in case, instead of cutting like usual. When I compared the trebles, it was clear that I was winding a high E string that was placed in the A bag. All other strings were correct and sound fantastic and bright, great tension. I was able to use my La Bella B. But in all my years of playing guitar, I’ve never gotten the wrong string in a pack before…I will order more and upgrade my review if this was a fluke!

I have a Cordoba Special 45 which is super pretty as it has the white ebony back and sides but is laminated because of the special wood. Because it is laminated, it has always had great bass presence but the treble seems to be lacking. I read the description of the these strings and figured that they could be just what the guitar needed. I was right. The guitar sounds great with these strings. Savarez strings are pricey but generally sound really good. I am pleased with these strings. They are great in both the bass and treble ranges.

I've been looking for the best sounding strings to install on my recently purchased a Yamaha Silent Guitar model SLG200NW and I think I may have found them with the Savarez 510AR set. This normal-tension set features the Savarez Cantiga basses coupled with their Alliance carbon trebles. These strings have an amazingly rich sounding fundamental note along with a full range of ringing harmonics, giving both basses and trebles a bright, bell-like quality. Some players may find the harmonics overpowering on some conventional instruments, but the electronics on the Silent Guitar allow you to amplify or suppress them to suit your personal taste, the type and style of music you play, and your venue if you're gigging. The strings tune up nicely and intonation is good all the way up the neck. Like any classical string set, they stretch and need to be tuned periodically, but no more or less often than any other classical strings I've used in the past. They're very playable and have a nice feel under the fingers, especially the trebles which are a little thinner than many conventional nylon trebles. That said, the basses can be a tad squeaky if your left-hand technique is as sloppy as mine.I have always used medium tension strings over the years but I plan to give the high-tension version of this string set (510AJ) at my next string change in a few weeks. I may be back to the 510AR set if there's no noticeable improvement in sound.Regardless of the instrument you play, the 510AR set deserves an audition.

I prefer the contiaga guitar strings over other guitar strings . I have high quality concert classic guitars and it does wonders for all of my 7 guitars.

These are incredible strings. I put them on my Cordoba Fusion Orchestra guitar and a $900 guitar now sounds like a $3000 guitar. They were too resonant for my 1977 Ramirez 1A for which I have settled on the Augustine light strings. If you have a good guitar and you want it to sound great with additional volume, these are the strings of choice. The bass strings are not polished, so you will notice some string noise when sliding or changing chords (depending on how precise you are).

Nice strings.....however I have been using mostly the 520R for about 40 years and it has become part of DNA. Can't go wrong with savarez......
