My daughter started learning mandolin and I thought I would join her. I have been very pleased with this mandolin. It is well made and has a warm tone (on open strings for now!) It came carefully packaged. I did not have to set up the bridge as it was already set up. I use the mandolin tuner app, and it tuned very easily. I have been pleasantly surprised at how well it holds a tune, and only have to make minor adjustments each time I practice. Overall, I am really enjoying it, and hope I improve enough to bring out the best in this instrument.

Sure has a great sound for an inexpensive mandolin! However, the fourth fret on the G string was dead. I simply couldn't play it and had to return it. I guess that's the risk you take when you order an instrument online. Amazon was great with the return shipment, and refunded me as soon as I shipped it, even before they received it!

It’s okay....Difficult to tune, fret buzz and broken strings. Pay a little more or go with another brand. Would not buy again.

Pretty good, but I did have to change the bridge to tune it and it did take sone time to get it right. Probably should have changed the strings like some of the other reviews said to do, but it was for my daughter who is just learning, so it will do for now.

lasted 3 months before the bridge broke under the tension of the strings. I was really enjoying it learning the mandolin was quite fun but i would dish out the extra money for something thats going to last.

This product came exactly as described and is a beautiful piece of equipment. I purchased the mandolin through GearCrazy and found their customer service to be top quality.Due to an incident during shipping I had to contact GearCrazy for a replacement instrument. Their customer service was excellent and they promptly issued me a new mandolin. got it, and initially it was a bit annoying in the tuning.I was afraid this was a damaged good, butDuring string replacement, I got into the trouble of measuring the playing length vs. "1/2 length" fretand noticed that fret wasn't right in the middle.After moving the the bridge ~6-7 mm farther from the nut, the thingie started to be greatly tuned.So overall - Good starter mandolin!
