So close to being a good product but there’s no vent or relief valve causing the bracket to snap and the frame bending with the required pressure to push the meat through. Handle doesn’t take much pressure before bending as well. Returned

Sirve para lo que se describe, podrian mejorar el diseño, para que sea mas facil de desarmar, pero del resto, por el precio, vale la pena

We had tried using our electric grinder to stuff some sausage casings but couldn't get the right size grinder plate. We didn't want to invest too much money & decided to give this economical unit a try. This was our first attempt at making sausage links (instead of bulk) and it worked great!

Don't forget the locking pin, I did, and the support that holds the lead screw exploded on me and I can't find the part to fix it. Looks like I'm buying another one. Also there is no air bleed valve.

Bought this small stuffer after figuring out my kitchen aid meat grinder stuffer attachment was ruining my meat. This stuffer is very handy and made things so much easier. This design is pretty universal, so build quality and size is really the only thing that sets this variety of sausage stuffer apart. This stuffer after putting about 30-45lbs through it still works great, the only issue I’ve had is I put the collar that holds the stuffing tube in the dish washer and whatever coating was on it came off.Great little stuff for the beginner that wants to lear without dropping a ton of cash. I’ve made brats, summer sausage, breakfast links, etc successfully with this.

The overall quality is good. It is relatively easy to dissemble, also easy to use. The set came with various filling tubes of different diameters and in both plastic and stainless steel. The main cylinder is quite large, and can hold aoubt 1.5 lb of meat each load. With a total of 4.5 lb of meat, I only needed 3 rounds filling. I was pleasantly surprised that withdrawing the piston did not generate a suction that might disturb the already filled casing. The width of the cylinder was large enough for the hand to go in to tap tight the meat before filling. This also allowed easier cleaning, too. One puzzling reminder from the manufacturer was that you were not supposed to wash it with detergents! I cleaned with warm water and then wiped with some alcohol.

This is not industrial strength by any means, but with care and attention should last quite a while. The weak links are the cast aluminum parts, which include the handle (most likely to break in my estimation) and the cap which affixes the nozzles. Threading the cap on is a little dicey and I think it'd be really easy to cross thread if not careful. A bit of food grade lube such as Petro Gel on the threads might help there. The base which encloses the gearbox for the rack & pinion press shaft is cast aluminum also but looks pretty beefy. I assume the gearing that's enclosed is steel. It's real easy to clean, though it would be even more convenient if the press plate could just be unscrewed from the shaft without having to use any tools (screwdriver) to remove it. I leave it attached and just hang the whole thing over the sink while spraying/brushing the press plate. There was almost no blow-back while pressing which is impressive. The clamp holding the unit down leaves almost no room to turn the handle without a bit of interference. You need to lightly pull outward on the handle in order to miss bumping into the clamp. The cylinder itself is nicely finished, true and round. All in all, for the money, and for small batches I give it a total of 4-1/2 stars.
