Exceeding 90°C (195°F) in open air with 19°C (66°F) ambient temperature. Without adding forced air cooling, I don't expect this to last very long. This is extremely dangerous, and would cause burns almost immediately if touched.

I also have the GE 30w grow bulb. According to the light meter that one has much more light output. But its also bigger, heavier and has a pinkish tint to it. This one has a more narrow beam and a more pleasant color to look at. Its also smaller and lighter. The plants are doing well. If you want more output then the GE is better but this fits my needs perfectly.
