Butterfly Valve
A butterfly valve is a valve that uses a circular butterfly plate as an opening and closing member and rotates with the valve stem to open, close and adjust the fluid channel.
The butterfly plate is installed in the diameter direction of the pipeline. In the cylindrical channel of the butterfly valve body, the disc-shaped butterfly plate rotates around the axis.

I have a homebrew setup, and bought these to finish up some missing valving. They are smaller than normal butterfly valves. I actually liked this, for my particular setup. I'm sure this could lead to some issues for some - but it work perfectly for me.
