Durable and with a thin enough spine to fit between the slats of an old steam radiator. my other brushes wouldn't fit because the wooden spine was too wide but these worked great. Also, bristles were stiff enough to brush off the paint chips and rust, but not so stiff that you couldn't manouver them.

These are great, suggest using them with gloves because they are sharp and I've cut myself. Wires are starting to go sideways after a months use but i still have the second one! Good purchase

These are steel wire brushes plated with brass, the title is misleading. Steel is mentioned in some of the details, but seems to be intentional not state this. I damaged some surfaces that were previously brushed with brass without any issue.....and then it becomes clear that these are made from steel.The quality of the "steel" wire brush is good, the handle is good the price is good and would have given it 5 stars if a steel wire brush was expected.

I imagine there are various uses for these brushes such as welding and rust removal however I use mine for cleaning the grill on start up. Once the grill is fired up I immediately -- before it gets too hot, as the handle is short -- scrape the cooking grates down. The tight bunching of wire strands makes this an ideal grate scraper. Now, I may be cleaning my grates incorrectly by not letting it get to temp before brushing or not brushing after taking off the food, but if that is how you do it this is prob not the best as the handle is quite short. A traditional purpose made grill brush would work.I started to use these as I can never find a grill brush that I am pleased with. Seem to smoosh up and get gunky and at nearly 20 dollars I didn't find it worth it. I believe I paid under 10 dollars for this 2 pack. each should last me a couple of years at least.Edit: after a few months the bristles have all turned to rust. I'm not sure what the bristles are made from but they are not likely all brass -- maybe thin plated with something similar. I'm leaving my review 5 stars because I was using this as a grill brush and that is not its intended use. I have in the past -- and these may be constructed different than my previous ones as I don't remember them completely rusting over. Maybe the moist environment is not ideal for this as it is kept outside under my grill in the cabinet.
