I studied the ads looking for the loudest model I could find at a reasonable price and settled on this one. It's not as loud as I had hoped. In a school environment, it's a bit difficult to hear about average noise from the children. In a quiet home environment I would be OK. If you are looking for a loud chime, I would look elsewhere.

Exact size of my old one that didn't work.So, no painting! Lighted button looks good and this works great. My transformer was good so I was glad to not have to buy a complete kit.

Very happy with this bell. I replaced an old bell that wore out. Has 2 tone sounds for up to 2 switch locations. Easy install.

Item arrived damaged. A plastic component which connects the metal to the body of the bell was broken. I had to use a screw to secure the metal to the body of the bell so it would ring. It works well after the hack. I did not want to join a line to return the item. Nonetheless, the package arrived on time and the bell works well; it is loud.
