Got these for my wife to carry around the yard to scare cougars off. They are small enough to carry around easily and are loud enough to be uncomfortable on your ears. Perfect for what we needed

We have a black bear that visits and hangs out on our back porch, and we needed something that would scare it away or warn it off when letting the dog out. These are loud, and work perfectly. Thankfully we don’t need them often.

First a suggestion/criticism: this thing is small enough to fit in a jacket pocket, but not a jean pocket comfortably. They need to put a pocket clip on this thing so it can be worn on a belt.Don't worry about the small size. This thing is just as loud if not louder than my full size air horn. It was so loud that when I pranked my daughter with it, not only did it make my own ears ring, it made her start to cry, even though she was turned away from it! Yeah, I know, BAD DAD. I won't do it again. Didn't realize how painfully loud this thing was going to be.I'm guessing it would deter aggressive animals and people fairly well, but I wouldn't rely solely on it. I also carry pepper spray as a backup deterrent.
