Belt fits very well.

So this belt is really more of for ropes instead of fall protection shock cords and as something to reduce your risk of falling over rather than protecting you from a fall. Since it is not a fall harness you would almost certainly slip out of it in an actual fall. It is a bit uncomfortable on me as the foam is a bit stiff. Overall I find it more uncomfortable to wear than even the full harness and with less protection it just does not seem worth it to me. I don't even really want to substitute it into my harness as the belt that is already part of my harness is more comfortable than this one. Certainly better than nothing but I prefer to wear full fall protection when working at heights.

Jokingly my wife seems to appreciate the device in a different way than I do. I have yet to use it on the job site yet but I have put it on and had several co workers try it on as well. It seems to be fairly comfortable and strong. The rig itself appears to be good quality, I will update after a few uses and tests

This is an item that exceeded my expectations when I opened the package. I wanted a safety harness for using on my roof when making repairs. I didn't really want a full body harness, just something to use with a taught rope that keep me from sliding off. This seems like it's perfect for this purpose. It is very well made and even has some hoops for holding tools. It also has plenty of size for larger people. I have a 38-size waist, and I had the belt pulled out more than halfway (4th of 8 belt eyelets). I noticed this belt also has padded "wings" at the upper side of your hips which looks like they are there to protect you from the rope. I don't plan to be hanging much, so hopefully I won't have to use those. I am in the process of building a new house and am going to install 4 hard-points where I can easily hook into when I am on the roof making repairs. The quality and sturdiness of this belt surpassed my expectations. Recommended.

I got this to replace a very old leather belt I'd used many times and constantly lended out to fellow radio tower men over the years. I had enough confidence in this belt to let my old ( still usable ) belt go do a friend who knew a new ham needing one, go to a new home. Of course I kept all my rigging :-) which I transfered onto this belt.Very glad to have it. Yeah it's comfortable and I think I got a good deal on it as well. Being made of nylon webbing, yeah it's very strong.

At an empty weight of less than 2 pounds this 'fall arrest' belt won't wear you out while your using it. I think it is important to note that It is not designed to save a person in a 'free fall' situation. It might stop your fall but could seriously injure you if all your weight amd speed were arrested suddenly by a restaint around your waist. The instructions that come with it speak of two scenarios this is designed for. 1.) as a restraint to prevent the user from reaching a hazard ( such as a roof edge where he might fall and 2.) as a component of a work positioning system to support the user typically including an adjustable lanyard. (kind of like a lineman climbing a pole uses a lanyard around the pole attached to the D rings on his lineman's belt). In that regard I note that the D rings on this belt are approximately 30" apart. Linemen get 'fitted' for the correct size belt by measuring the distance from one hip bone around their rump to the other hip bone. In this scenario the belt is worn low on the body around the rump because it is extremely tiring if the belt is too high and you have to hold yourself in position with your back muscles. Lineman on poles refer to this 'sitting' position as "laying in the leather". I do note that this belt does have loops to accomodate a harness type fall safety device as well while wearing it.

Not true to size and it slides down while in motion
