My dogs have a twin size bed that is for them - yes they are spoiled. I get a new mattress cover from time to time to freshen things up. Usually I go for the complete zipper style because they usually will waller the elastic ones off in a matter of a day or two. NOT the case with this one. There is PLENTY of firm stretch to keep this on with a perfect fit and yet very easy to put on. There was no chemical smell when I opened it. Very soft and my dogs did not complain lol. It has been on for over a week and suprisingly doesn't even look that dirty yet. I am very pleased with it's ability to keep the mattress clean and dry. If it will work for two dogs (great dane and hound dog) I am SURE it will work for any human you throw at it.Here’s my rating scale for products:1 Star: Do not buy. This item has serious flaws. I would never under any circumstances use again.2 Stars: Do not buy. Its usable at best, but you could easily find something better.3 Stars: Just ok. Buy if you can't find an alternative. Some issues need to be addressed.4 Stars: Recommend purchase. This item met my expectations.5 Stars: I love this product and would highly recommend to friends & family.Additional Information: As a Vine reviewer, I know that people depend on these early revies as I to depend on reviews when shopping on Amazon. I fully intend to give honest insights. I got this for an adult family member with a chronic illness who can't always make it to the restroom in time. It has worked fabulously for a king size bed. Easy to wash and protects the mattress well.

I got it because of my dog. Sometimes she gets sick in the middle of the night. It hasn’t leaked through.
