THE GOOD:--------------* This mini safe heavy duty, very high quality.* It measures about 9"W x 6.7"D x 6.7"H.* .23 cu ft. volume capacity.* You can use a 3 digit pin code, or use the provided back up keys.* Inside, there is a little felt floor mat included.* I also like the slit at the top so you can slide in cash without having to open the safe.* Takes four AA batteries.THE BAD:-----------* The complaints by other reviewers are perplexing. We don't have any issues with this safe. However, we are using the default pin code, so we haven't gone through the process of changing the code yet, which seems to be causing people headaches. We'll update review if we run into the same issues, but for now, it's 5-Stars.

Directions do not even make sense. Want to throw it as another review said! Dont waste your time with this. Returning immediately. One star cuz it made me.

Keypad would only work for about a minute and then died even after trying multiple sets of batteries. Never would open the lock mechanism even when programmed and giving beeps indicating factory code and my custom code were working. Key worked to open and overall it was a good little safe with a double shaft locking mechanism. It would be good for someone who intendeds to just use the two included keys, but I wouldn’t rely on the keypad.

It takes an act of congress to try to set the code. Even doing what the instructions say to do, it still wouldn’t work. The instructions also made no sense. I was about ready to throw it against the wall. I will be returning this safe and buying a different one elsewhere.
