LIFT SUPPORT

Not A Very Happy Customer!

I ordered this strut: SG330076. The seller substituted another part number, SG330077. They are not the same. SG330076 is a longer strut and is specifically for only one side of the Yukon/Tahoe/Escalade rear hatch. SG330077 is for the other side of the rear hatch and the extended length is “shorter.”I contacted the manufacturer and they confirmed SG330076 is discontinued and is not available. My complaint is that Amazon permits this sell to display a strut that is not available and will never be available. Plus this seller automatically substituted the wrong part, all without notification. PLUS, the unavailable part is still listed as available so the deceit is continuing. I rate seller a “big fat zero” only because I cannot rate them a negative number.

If you own a Tahoe Hybrid, this is the only lift support that works with the light weight Aluminum rear hatch door. This one goes on the left side (driver side) of the door, SG330077 goes on the left side of the door. Buy anything else (like I did) for a Tahoe Hybrid and the struts will be too stiff.

For my 07 Tahoe ltz electronic litigate. Months later these are still holding up great. Easy to install. Found out one of mine was bad when the liftgate was crooked and I bought these to fix it. Right and left side are of different length like oem so be mindful when you are replacing.

This part is identical to the genuine GMC part that I removed from my 2011 Yukon SLT. It is made in Gastonia, NC just like the GMC part. This is the driver's (left) side lift support. You should replace the passenger's side at the same time- part # SGC330077 is available on Amazon.

This part directly replaced the original struts/stabilizers for my 2007 Yukon Denali. The Left and right sides are different and must be replaced together. For over a year now, I have been manually lifting the rear hatch/door and propping it up with a broom-stick. Real Ghetto. If I would have known how easy it was to replace, I would have done it day one! It literally takes 2 minutes for each one. The only tool required is a small screwdriver. View a YouTube video for installation instructions because non came with the struts. On a scale of 1-10 of difficulty I would rate this a "1" (easiest). Don't forget to turn the hatch switch on (it's on the console next to the sunroof).
