I thought this cymbal sounded off. My son agreed. I had his drum teacher come over to listen to it. He said it also sounds terrible. I bought this as a Christmas present at the end of September...I can't return it. Sabian really needs some better quality control.

So far after two weeks of playing, it's ok . A bit too tinny in sound but does offer a long sustain. This 16 inch rock crash compliments the Sabian B8X cymbal pack I recently purchased. I have been comparing these beginner cymbals against the Meinl HSCs . Both have pros and cons in sound. IMO, the 16 inch Meinl is a bit better in the "crash" sound produced , at least to my ear. But the Sabians seem to better sounding in the other matched cymbal sizes. Overall, both the Sabians and Meinls are an upgrade from stock cheap cymbals that came with my Gammon drum kit. I would rate the Sabians a little higher except for this 16 inch crash.
