The plan is to use this valve later this summer (it's spring as I write this) to rebuild a log splitter. Still gathering parts (plus it's planting season and I don't have time) so I haven't gotten to use it yet. First impressions though are good, it feels smooth with a nice solid D-tent. It came in the shmoo I would expect from any machined part coming from china, but some cleaner gets rid of it well enough. Kind of disappoint is showed up in just a box. The ports were plugged, but otherwise it was just loose in the box so the box was pretty beat up. What annoyed me the most is that there wasn't any sort of documentation for the valve. Even the Amazon page wasn't very helpful on what ports were what. I'll be sure to update the review if there are issues after this summer, but first impressions says it'll be fine.

The RYFT 25GPM Auto Control Detent Valve, Heavy Duty Hydraulic Log Splitter Valve, Auto Return appears to be quality-built, considering the price. It is very heavy, comes well-lubricated and sealed, detent feels right, and peering into the fitting openings revealed no residue or anomalies. The threads look good.The 25GPM flow and 3500 PSI ratings are more than adequate for my intended log splitter build. My splitter will look very similar to the depiction in the sixth illustration in the ad. I'll be connecting to the hydraulic quick-couplers for my detachable backhoe.My 5-star review is based upon my visual impression of the product, the pictures of the production facility, and my history of success with other low-cost valves produced in China.If I have any problems with this valve down the line, I'll try to remember to update my review.
