Easy to plug/unplug when switching machines. Would easily buy again. We'll made and designed, much better than a standard plug.

Good priceThe quality is standard dutyIt's easy to remove from the receptacle which is usually how the plug gets broken in the first place from rocking it back and forth. It's a fairly easy install although I'm a electrician.I consider it my go to welder plugIt's so much better than the Leviton or Pass and Seymour

Used for making a welder extension cord. The cable clamp to hold the wire is a bit large but does clamp down on my 8/3 cable. I wouldn’t want to use it any damp environment as it’s not even close to sealed from moisture. Works great for my application!

This outlet works just fine. It's not really heavy-duty, but the plastic seems good quality. Might be a bit brittle in really cold temperatures, I won't swing it around and whack it on the pavement just to find out. The metal part is thick enough to feel sturdy but there is nothing to keep it from bending out at the top if you were to yank on the cord real hard. The screw terminals work best for solid wire. I used stranded wire, so I crimped ferrules made from short pieces of copper tubing on the wire before inserting. The knockouts require a 3/4 strain relief or 1 inch if you knock out the big ring. All in all it is a nice package for making extension or adapter cords for your welder. Would I put 50 amps through this for years? Probably not. But for weekend use on a 30 amp circuit it will last me for a long time.
