The skylight in our camper was getting milky looking, so I wanted to replace it before it just broke on its own.This fit as it is supposed to fit. I do suggest checking out some YT videos before diving into a project like this if you are not already familiar. It can be a little tricky, just be sure you have all the tools and parts you will need first. Those videos can help you prepare for the -what-ifs- and the -while you are at it, might as well do this-....as well.The unit itself looks very nice. I am happy I got it and would recommend it.

I want to start with the fact that the majority of RV skylights are pretty much the same thickness and quality based off of what I've used.You may come across some cheaper units that are flimsy and thinner and as long as you avoid those in your search you will be fine.These happen to be the standard quality and in most cases you won't really know if corners were cut on production until your skylight starts yellowing prematurely. What I would say is prior to install or directly after install add a UV coat to the skylight to protect it from UV rays. Polycarbonate is a great choice for skylights because it absorbs UV rays but with the absorption comes the discoloration. A UV coat will prevent the degradation of the color of the skylight while still keeping you protected from UV rays.I typically do a coat every year or two to keep the skylights in good working order and looking great.Outside of that, with this type of skylight I would suggest adding a curb mount, that way you don't have to deal with any issues with leaks if installed correctly and done with the proper flashing.With that being said these are decent quality skylights for the price.Until We Meet Again-Off The Grid Ken

In addition to the outside dimensions some campers may require a shallow or a deep dome. Some domes also have both an inner and an outer dome so double check what you’re buying. This one is the shallow version at around 3-4 inches and may not work if your require the deep version. We got the clear version and it arrived in good condition aside from all the screws rolling around the box. There was a protective film on the outside. This appears to be the most common size from what I've seen.

I like the smoked tint in this. It seems to keep the temp down more. It is a lower profile than the original one, which I like. The screws made it easy to attach.

It came well packaged, but the screws had escaped their box and one was missing. The smoke color looks even, and the construction is sturdy. Had to replace one in the past after a hail storm, so having one on hand should preclude having to replace it. With RV's it's always something.
