Gave this 4 stars because it has a very loud fan when fast charging, however it charged my 300ah lifepo4 battery really well. It does have a good amount of weight to the 100amp converter which is good because the parts inside are good quality. Keep in mind this draws 1800 watts, it’s best to plug this in on a 20 amp circuit.

This started when I had to listen to the fan turn on. Then off. Then on again. There must not be any hysteresis with this and just an on/off setpoint that it keeps crossing. So it turns on and then off. Again and again. I took it apart to see if there was anything I could do. It isn't PWM, so it's like this was designed in 1374 BC. For this price point it should be PWM or have some hysteresis, but I digress. When I opened the case the second thing I noticed is that t he ground wire is cut off just past the cable gland. Now this is a safety risk. Should anything come loose the case of this could be held at line voltage. If you aren't concerned about that then go ahead and buy this, but buyer beware that you could get shocked. It's chinese too so don't expect high quality either.
