This is a good quality well-made brush but it's NPT thread male connector is not compatible with UK and there are no adapters for UK or European rods. Note: NPT and BSP threads are not interchangeable due to the differences in thread forms. NPT threads are pointed in the peaks and valleys, where BSPs are rounded. Most notably, the NPT thread angle is 60 degrees versus the BSP 55-degree angle.

This product worked as expected. The fit was tight, (which I like) but because it was so new it was stiff and difficult to go back and forth. However, quickly cleaned my chimney.

I've only used this once on my chimney, but worked fine. Got the crap out.I recommend dropping a rope down from the top, getting your helpful friend to attach it, then hauling it up (while your friend wraps a garbage bag around the base of the stovepipe).

Well made , fits the set of flexible rods of the same make. I will use it in the spring to clean my flue from the basement up . Although it comes with the loop to use it with a rope, I'm not physically able to get on the roof and this allows me to clean my own flue as often as needed without waiting for someone to do it on their schedule.

My husband had me buy this for our chimney. I am not a chimney expert and have only helped my husband clean our old chimney twice but I thought I'd give a review in case it helps anyone. We have an older home and the chimney was not cared for by the previous owners. We ended up having to clean out years of black slime and ash residue. We had an 8" round chimney brush and our own handles but not luck. Our chimney was a non standard size so we bought this 7" and it worked just right. The chimney was tight to begin with because of all the build-up but the 7" brush from Rutland got the job done. My husband is not kind to these types of tools and neither is the chimney. After two cleanings and many grumblings from my husband, I can say that it has held up to the beatings. It is a tough little brush and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to clean their own chimney.

We have a corrugated stainless steel liner that is 8" in diameter. I tried using a 8" brush and had a heck of a time to remove it. Thank God I only was in less than a foot. The 7" brush cleaned the liner very well. Even to the point of cleaning to the metal. Very happy with the steel brush. I also have a poly 7" brush and that's a waste when your trying to remove tar like creosote from a corrugated liner. Only thing that would be better is a 7.5" steel brush.

Worked great. Attached to the rods and fit in my chimney perfectly! Would definitely recommend the brush if you have a oddball size chimney like mine.
