RUTLAND Grapho-Glas Replacement Stove Gaskets are engineered to provide superior sealing, protection, and longevity when compared to other materials. The graphite-impregnated fiberglass resists creosote and soot adhesion that, in turn, provides better abrasion resistance. The braiding of the gasket and the staying power of RUTLAND adhesive cements combine to make sure this gasket lasts much longer without failing or coming off.All of this makes Grapho-Glas Gaskets the best choice for replacing your stove’s gasket. So good, in fact, that many stove manufacturers use Grapho-Glas as standard equipment on their stoves and fireplaces.

This seal did the job sealing the door on my Earth Stove. Spend some time scraping and cleaning the surface before you apply using a good stove cement or high temp RTV.

Installed on my Lopi Freedom wood stove. My stove burns 24/7 from early Nov to late April so a good seal is important. The last few seals I have bought where to soft but this model had a good tight woven pattern close to a real rope. This is the perfect gasket for how I use my stove and very, very happy with it.

This did exactly what I needed it to do for my Blaze King wood burner. I have only had it on for a few weeks, but am confident it will last all burning season. Like brakes on a car, I plan on replacing each year and will use again.

This will save you a LOT on firewood. These gaskets are great. They seal my stove up so tight - if I close all dampers, the fire is BARELY going , which is perfect for overnight. I get 12 hours out of a stove now. You have to follow the directions to the letter though. If you use the gasket glue and put in a new gasket - you need to 'cure' it, so you can't have a full blazing fire right away. Read the directions, when all else fails.

We have a Mendota gas fireplace that we use to heat our (rather green) house in the winter. The fireplace is more than adequate, but we noticed that the flat-panel screen built into the area above the fireplace got hot. Hot enough to be have an effect on the picture. We could keep the flat-panel and house temperature acceptable by keeping the high flame setting off. But it's nice to have the setting on high when you want to warm the house quickly, or when the outside temperature plunges. We fixed a fan problem in the fireplace, but still felt the flat-panel temperature was too high when we cranked the Mendota up. We noticed an air gap between the brickwork and the sheetrock, so we bought the rope to fill the gap, figuring it was a no-loser. I'm not sure whether it was the fan repair or the gasket that explains the improvement, but things are working great now, regardless of how the flame setting. (It's near 0 Farenheit today). If I have any problem with the Gasket Rope, it's that you need a very sharp implement to cut it to fit. For a comfortable house, and a functional flat-panel, I can buy something pretty sharp. For now, I can live with a 6-inch overhang.

Unable to find the right size replacement stove rope...I thought we were stuck with buying one from the manufacturer for a low cost, but outrageous shipping charges. Decided to try Amazon. And surprise...the right size and right length for a reasonable price and shipping. Most stove gaskets come in 5/8 size in the store, but a lot of outdoor burners (mine included) requires a full 1". So happy that I found it here! Amazon.com never ceases to amaze me!
