It is nice to buy a piece of outdoor furniture from the comfort of your home and receive something that was made in the U.S., well designed and constructed, was well thought out in terms of how it was packaged and what parts came pre-assembled and lastly, had quality instructions that were grammatically correct. While some reviewers have noted finishing problems in terms of parts alignment, holes not drilled through, etc. I saw none of that in the glider I received. All holes matched up perfectly and were cut through and clean. All the hardware was there, well packaged so it couldn't have come out of the bags and of appropriate quality.I bought this for a gift for my wife and she feels it fits her 5'4" height perfectly and finds it very comfortable to sit in. At a foot taller, I find it comfortable too, so either I am not that picky about such things, or it has a good universal fit to it. Of course, comfort is a subjective thing, but both of us are pleased in that regard, so all around this was a great purchase.

We ordered two of these, and the side table. Very solid chairs, silent gliding action, comfortable, beautiful after sanding and staining with Australian timber oil. Customer service is top notch. I had originally ordered the Adirondack chairs, and we decided to go with these instead. The owner was very responsive with emails and advice so we could switch our order to the gliders. Assembly is a bit of a learning curve, but I put the matching porch swing together last year, and this is similar. As others have noted, the carriage bolts will turn as you tighten the nuts. I used a vice grip on the bolt head to keep the bolt from turning. Sanding and staining the gliders is a chore, so you could opt for buying the pre-stained ones. I wanted to use the same stain that I used for the porch swing last year, to keep them all the same color. All in all, I'm really satisfied.

Like most of you on here, I shopped around before purchasing 2 of these chairs. My 5 star rating is based on value for price, sturdiness and how much we like to sit in them. I purposefully ordered unfinished because reviews of the finished chairs indicated that people were not happy with the quality of the finishing (stain). I am glad that I did because even for outdoor chairs, the wood was rough. Sanding made a big difference, and for me sanding was necessary for me to be really happy with them. On the base pieces, wood was missing on the edge of the board where two knots occurred, kind of like a gouge, but this doesn't compromise the integrity of the chair or it's overall appearance. The makers seemed to be careful to only use boards like this only on the base as there were no flaws like this on the upper parts of the chairs, so just be aware that imperfections could be present on the base pieces. I finished them with an outdoor transparent stain from Behr (which I don't recommend; hard to apply by brush with an even color consistency). My husband assembled them without difficulty. The chairs easily accommodate him and he is 6' 5" and around 300 lbs (these chairs are reported by the makers to hold up to 400 lbs and that is one of the reasons behind my purchase). Everyone who visits likes the gliding action, which is both smooth and quiet. My friend liked them so much she is buying one for her Mom, who has been wanting a glider chair. Overall, these are good solid chairs to sit and relax in on the porch and we have no regrets with our purchase.2017 update- ALL of our visitors, and we have a lot, loved sitting in these chairs so much that we recently bought 2 more. The original 2 are still gliding quietly and smoothly. We are very happy with all 4 of them.

Where to begin. Such a fine product! Got this unstained and got it early. Nice surprise. Finally took some time and assembled it. Fantastic! Got 2. First one, went slow. Look.at.pictures. I'm not kidding. Read instructions well. These are simple, to the point and easily done. It even mentions, study pictures. They aren't kidding. Second one assembled - a snap/breeze! Very well made! I stained immediately, dried and then assembled. The company is wonderful to deal with and the pack job is phenomenal. Such nice people. Both gliders are quiet, Comfortable. The glide is far. The wood was actually breathtaking. So lovely. Smelled heavenly. You can use socket wrench or, oh so gingerly, a power tool. Remember, you're working with cedar, but still, bolt it together correctly! Durable. Yes, these are bolted nicely! Neighbors - several sides -are eyeballing set, chairs/table and hopefully they too will purchase. I feel though, that they are hung up on assembly, but I assured them- I will assemble! So hopefully they'll pick something out, glider/swing/bench/ tables and order soon. The wood being more new than our deck, the colors came out different hues. I'm sure I could have let sit a year or two to age also. Again, very very pleased.
