About this item

  • Non-Toxic and Safe: Our rust eraser is made of rubber and silicon carbide, and do not contain harmful chemicals or toxins. Protect your investment by ensuring proper maintenance of your cast iron cookware, knives and bladed tools with the ADDCORE Rust Eraser. By removing rust promptly, a rust eraser helps prevent the rust from spreading and causing further damage to the cast iron cookware.
  • Effective Rust Removal: Cast iron rust erasers are designed to effectively remove rust and stubborn stains from the surface of cast iron cookware. They can restore the cookware to its original condition.
  • Gentle on the Surface: These erasers are abrasive enough to remove rust and grime but gentle enough not to damage the seasoned surface of the cast iron. They won't scratch or strip away the seasoning. Cast iron cookware develops a natural seasoning over time, which enhances its non-stick properties. A rust eraser helps preserve this seasoning by removing only the rust and leaving the seasoning intact.
  • Versatile Usage: Cast iron rust erasers can be used on various cast iron items, including skillets, griddles, dutch ovens, knives and more. They're versatile tools that can be used on different sizes and shapes of cookware. Bring old tools and knives back to life by returning that mirror shine.
  • Long-Lasting: A single rust eraser can last a long time, providing multiple uses before needing replacement. This makes it a cost-effective solution for maintaining and restoring cast iron cookware. Using a cast iron rust eraser is a straight forward process. It typically involves scrubbing the affected areas of the cast iron with the eraser, applying gentle pressure, and wiping away the rust residue.

ADDCORE Rust Eraser Save Your Favorite Cast-Iron Skillet

  • With this clever eraser, you can easily restore any cast-iron surface—including grill pans, griddles, grill grates, and tools—back to its original, tarnish-free state. Your favorite pan will be good as new in no time! Before you get to work, make sure your cookware is cool and dry. Then, start "erasing" and prepare to be blown away. Just like a rubber school eraser does to stray pencil marks.
  • The handy product revives your cookware by stripping it down to the bare iron. Because you're essentially giving your pan a new chance, don't forget to re-season it before putting it to use again in the kitchen. This also means all those flea market finds and heirloom pieces that may come your way have a second lease on life! So don't let rust deter you ever again.
  • If you too have committed this kitchen sin and need to know how to get rust off your cast-iron skillet, this eraser will save you.

cast iron rust eraser
  • Silicone carbide and rubber, It wears down as you use it. It is easy to use. You use it like an eraser on the cast iron. Like most erasers, the eraser will leave behind pieces of itself as it cleans the cast iron. It did a great job on my cast iron.

  • I don't see why not. I have just used it for the first time on a small rust spots on my ridged griddle. Worked very well. You can use the rust eraser on anything made of cast iron or carbon steel. Can even be used on knives, tools, and grill grates!

  • I don't see the rust eraser damaging the coating or the etching on the blade. you can take off just the rust. It's easy to use and doesn't take a lot of pressure.

  • Chain mail is for cleaning stuck-on food. a rust eraser cleans off rust. rust is not the same as stuck-on food.

  • This eraser is better. Steel wool removes metal and changes the surface.this removes rust, but doesn’t scratch the iron.

Removed a white film I suspect from paper towel dust when applying oil. Also good to rub pan before applying a new coat of oil inside and out.

This product is amazing. It removed all the rust from many of my expensive knives that went through 2 hurricanes.

This product is more difficult to use on iron skillets than brillo pads or steel wool. If you are going to remove all the conditioning from a pan, it is better to just use soap, water and steel wool in combination with powdered scouring soap. The tool is useful for small surfaces like knives and other rust spots. You will consume one bar for one large frying pan (18 inches)

This removed the rust on my cast iron skillet. But it left a weird patina on the skillet. I'm sure it's safe to use (I assume) and will go away once I reseason the skillet. But it did remove the rust with a little (read: a lot) of elbow grease! It wasn't super easy and took quite a bit of "erasing," but it worked.
