I’ve been a professional technician for over 20 years. Some of these hubs are a real pain to remove and there are professional tools that cost hundreds of dollars. This tool is very solidly built and removed a hub in my driveway with ease! It might take a little creativity on smaller knuckles that don’t have a lot of surface area to press against, but it works. Highly recommend!

You should know that I am a relative novice to the DIY repairs for vehicles. I have changed brakes, rotors, and calipers. I do my own oil changes. That is pretty much the high end of my mechanical experience. However I own A LOT of tools and work with them regularly for work. So I'm not inept.I had a shake in the wheels that was driving me nuts. Through a lot of reading, I found a few different possibilities. After replacing the tie rod ends (only one was bad), and then the obligatory alignment (which I had a real mechanic do), I still had a slight shimmy.Im now going to tell you that the vehicle has 158k miles and none of this has been done before. As real mechanics around the world in unison say, "Duh! No wonder it shakes. Youre lucky your alive. Blah blah blah." Well then I got to the nightmare.I bought the wheel bearings and hubs through that other awesome place for car parts. Rockauto. $58 per. I then watched a ton of videos on my make and model that made it look like it's the easiest job in the world. "Just tap here and here and the old hub comes on out." Well after an entire afternoon of beating on it, I gave up.I then found this and, after it arrived, 20 seconds is what it took. That's NOT an exageration. I had two of the old hubs studs lined up horizontal on top, I used my lugs to torque it down, I got my air impact wrench (bought just for this job), i made contact with the knuckle itself not the ears, and it took it off in 20 seconds! 20 seconds!!! I beat on that hub starting in the second quarter of the afc championship game, and gave up by the time the 49ers were making the comeback. My arms hurt for a week. 20 seconds!!! Buy it right now!!

I used the device exactly as shown. My hub was really stuck, but I didn't expect it to break the caliper mounting flange . You can see the lower I had to buy a steering knuckle for $900 from the dealer. Vehicle is a 2007 Acura MDX.I had to use a proper bearing puller to get the hub out.If you look at the picture, the lower flange is bent.

This thing will absolutely dominate that stubborn bearing for breakfast, why spend hours hammering away in frustration when you could use this bad boy and pop that seized bearing like a peanut.Quality is fantastic, super easy to use, and absolutely worth its value. This is a no brainer, buy the tool!

Not for Gen 3 Prius. The only place the center bolt would press against was the ears where the caliper bracket fastens. You don't want to put much pressure there. If you break off one of those ears, you're in deep trouble. I returned the tool. I recommend using 2 3" bolts through the lug bolt holes to pry the bearing off. Try the 78834 Wheel Hub Removal Tool (4 bolts) sold here on Amazon.

I needed to take the wheel bearing and hub off of my Prius. This did the trick perfectly. It is made extremely heavy-duty as it is about 3/8" thick solid metal. You put this on the hub over two lug bolts, put lug nuts on over the supplied washers (also super thick). Then you put the puller and square bolt on. You will need a lot of leverage to break the rust seal. I used an air wrench - same one I used to remove/mount the wheels and a 24mm socket). It didn't take long before the hub was out and the knuckle was undamaged. Excellent unit, shipped quickly. It was exactly the right tool for the job.
