Bought this for a Christmas present for player to take to work. Bought it for storage size of 64gb, because I had bought other cheap players for everyday use that were 16 gb with expanded memory with sd card, o. Those in the. Music mode you can only see the 16gb you have to go to folder view to see all music. On this player you have to go to folder view to see all the music on the internal storage. The buttons don't seem to be working correctly. You have to keep pushing the same buttons o er and again for 3 or for minutes (just keep trying to go back over and over again.) Before it will take you back to the artist screen. This was almost a good player.

For a long time, I've been searching for Sansa Clip replacement. I've been using Sansa Clip from Sansa Clip+, Zip Clip, Sports Clip, and Sports Plus Clip. They haven't made the Sansa Clip series for few years now and you can't find them new anymore.I've purchased the Ruizu Clip (X52) since it looks similar with the size and price. Ruizu has been known to make quality DAP products, so this is what I went with. It's very similar functionally to the Sansa Clip. Sound quality is on par with the Sansa and the interface is not too bad. It is a bit confusing at first since the down and left button serves as previous in different situations, but it's not too bad. Screen is slightly dimmer than the Sansa, but I like how it takes up to 128GB of microSD card. Using the external card is the way to go since you can transfer music much faster than using the cable. The USB-A to USB-C cable that comes with the package seems to be non standard type, so if you're looking to transfer data, you'll need to use the OEM cable. You can probably use any USB-C cable if you're just powering or recharging it.All in all, if you're on the fence about getting Ruizu because you need to fill the void where Sansa Clip left, this might be the next best thing. One annoyance I have is the fact that the up button serves also as a screen lock if you hold it down. When you're scrolling up through your library, it will lock it down instead of scrolling fast through the list. Only way you can scroll up fast is to tap it fast. It's not a deal breaker though. The fonts are clear and easy to navigate. It does chop some long title names while scrolling through, but again, this is a minor problem. If you're looking for a small DAP that doesn't weigh down your pocket, this is simple enough and affordable enough unit that you might forget about the drawbacks on it.

This audio player is really nice. It is quite similar to the old Sandisk players which appear to be no longer available. It is simple to use once you learn how to access the various menus. It actually comes with a small English/Japanese manual which I found quite helpful (even though there were some English grammatical errors). I had no problem downloading music from my PC running Windows 11 using the included USB cable. It does play m4A and mp3 files as well as other formats I never use. The battery life seems to be quite good. It is light weight and clips easily to clothing and to the included armband. The clip appears to be somewhat fragile, but I am being careful with it. So far, so good. I haven't tried the video, ebook, or FM radio settings because I probably won't use these features. It is easy to organize/store and view all your music in folders. Thankfully, there is a folder view to see and play your music. It is a durable little device and it delivers a decent sound. The sound quality appears to be better through wired earphones than through Bluetooth earphones. But I have inexpensive Bluetooth earphones! And it is very easy connecting via Bluetooth. All in all, a great buy!

As someone who wanted to get away from using their cellphone to listen to music and the annoyances that come with that while working out, I set out to find a simple compact Mp3 player with not too many frills and had Bluetooth capability. There are actually many choices out there but after reading a number of reviews and looking at features and functionality I settled on this RUIZU small MP3 player and it has mostly satisfied my needs.Pros: Very Small(some may say its too small and a CON). This fits into my workout pants and I don't worry about it getting in the way or if I was using my phone the possibility of it walking away.Simple Menu structure and it shows up as a USB drive that you just drag and drop your music files into it.You are able to create folders and play from them within the menu.Sound quality is fine for its intended purpose. Is it going to win any awards, No but it doesn't pretend to be something it is not.Bluetooth: It can pair and hold up to two units and its just a matter of choosing which one to connect two. Works well. See my critique below in CONS.Charges quickly in a couple hours and seems to hold a charge for many hours so far but I keep charging it back up so I don't know precisely how long it will last based on their stated claims. Standard USB-C so that is a plus. This comes standard with 64GB built in and for me that is plenty for my intended purpose of using it while I workout. It does expand to another 128GB if you truly wanted to load it up. A good many other devices I looked at didn't have that much storage built in and was a selling point for me.CONS: If you have big amount of files that you want to transfer then yes this will not be a fast process however it's not been an issue transferring over a couple hundred MP3 tracks.Bluetooth: The unit says Bluetooth v5.0, the description says 5.3. Is there a firmware update that would help with that, I am not certain yet but there have been some noticeable dropouts at random times and I am never more than 5ft if I leave it on a bench or on me in my pocket. Still not frequent enough that for the size of the unit that it concerns me all that much unless it increases over time in which case I will come back to update.Playlists: It comes with three internal playlists that you can load up and use the shuffle play on and that is plenty for me but I still wish there was an easy way to create a new playlist from within the software menu or even when hooked up as a USB drive.Shuffle Play: Works fine on the playlists. However you can use shuffle from within a folder to play whatever songs you have in there but it will frequently go outside that folder and pull in other songs from outside of them. If it would stay within just the folder, that would fix the limit on the playlists. It will play from start to finish with all the songs in the folders if you don't have shuffle enabled.Volume Control: I am using this with Beats Pro earbuds and you have to turn the volume up to the max of 29 or 30 for the level of volume I like. However I don't expect this size unit to have a large powered audio driver so it is still fine for my use. It has an audio jack on it but not sure if it could drive a pair of over the ear headphones with it.Overall: I am satisfied with the unit and for the cost and the functionality it has what I expected and overall works well enough for me and my usage case. I believe I read somewhere that the AGPTEK brand is the same manufacturer but branded for North America and RUIZU is intended more for the Chinese market but not that it matters, I just liked the name RUIZU better. If I had the opportunity I would try one of the higher versions of this brand in the future as my experience overall has been positive and maybe a higher model has some of the software features this one is lacking. Everyone has different needs and expectations but I would recommend this model if your needs are similar to mine.
