I received this last night and used it first thing this morning (I could feel the high quality instantly) to cut a small piece out of a door molding to make room for an LED light string so the door wouldn't cut it. Starting with the outside cuts and several on the inside. Chipped the wood out, then sanded. Then I felt the first two cuts that I didn't sand. Smooth like a babies butt! Absolutely perfect and amazing. The best handsaw cuts I've EVER made!

The RUITOOL Japanese Hand Saw is an excellent tool for precision woodworking. The double-edge design (one side for fine cuts, the other for rougher cuts) makes it versatile for various tasks. The pull saw mechanism allows for smooth, effortless cutting with minimal force, making it great for beginners and professionals alike. The 6-inch blade is sharp and durable, cutting through wood cleanly without splintering. Overall, it’s a high-quality, lightweight, and reliable saw that’s a fantastic addition to any toolbox. Highly recommended!

The blade, at 17 teeth per inch on one side of the blade, does cross-cut and at 14 TPI, rip-cut on the other. However, neither side of the blade is labeled so the user can quickly identify which is which. Both side of the blades worked well when I cut dowels and cleaned up small sections of wood that splintered or were too long. The blade is also thin enough to be flexible when trying to cut at the wood line. The rest of the knife is not as durable feeling or well made as the blade. The wooden handle feels a little heavier than balsa wood and is held together by two tacks. The blade doesn't jiggle but since the wood seam on the handle came with slight cracks it seems like the blade would loosen with heavy use.

Love it! I was worried that with disability I'd have difficulty with using a saw. It worked beautifully. It's very sharp and easily cut thru a block of wood. The handle was comfortable to use.

I've seen advertisements for these things a lot. And I didn't want to invest in some thing that was going to cost me a huge amount of money until I was able to at least try it out to see if it would work for me. This was mainly going to be used for smaller pieces, crafting woodwork, things like that. During our storms Our gate door was torn off one of the hinges. I purchased a few pieces to be able to fix it and realized that they were not the size or the shape that I needed them. This little hand saw easily cut through; quite accurately i might add, through the boards that I had purchased to reinforce the fence gate. 6inches wide 3/4 thick. It took me a few moments to learn the motion with the cutting, but I have used numerous handsaw in. This was by far the easiest to be able to use. When I realize that I also needed to shave off about an eighth of an inch, it was not difficult to cut that eighth of an inch off with this thin saw. We've used it to be able to trim branches easily, and I've used it numerous times to cut Pieces that were in awkward angles, or that I would not be able to fit a regular saw or more importantly, a power tool in there. I will tell you I was worried about the cost, I was worried about the functionality, I was worried about the craftsmanship of this blade, and if it was going to just bend and be done with, and I was pleasantly surprised and all of those aspects. The only thing I will say to this is that I wish I had purchased one sooner

I used the saw to cut some hardwood trim and found that the larger teeth easily cut through it in no time. I wish I’d discovered this type of saw much earlier in my life….
