The pads pictured look similar to OEM-like pads I've used in the past, but what I received isn't what was pictured. They're the translucent ones that I've tried using before, that are mushy, rigid, and lack the same depth as the higher quality ones. Avoid these at all costs, they feel truly awful.

These are super stiff and mushy to the point where they are unusable. They're so stiff if you have to press really hard for the membrane to make contract with the board.

they use a different rubber or a different mold or something because they feel stiff and mushy and don't "pop" like the original membranes do.

They are not the same brand as the original that come in a DS, and there are little differences in quality and build between these and the original ones. After putting them in, they are a little stiff. But other than that they work well.

My old DS lite buttons and d-pad were feeling extremely mushy after many years - replacement silicone has it feeling good as new!Be careful when tearing your console down, the little springs and pins for the shoulder buttons will be VERY hard to find if you let them escape!

If you're wanting buttons that feel like the originals, look elsewhere. These pads give the buttons a soft mushy feeling, but the controls still seem responsive enough for action gameplay.I ended up replacing everything despite only having trouble with the D-pad. I could open things up and use the OEM parts for the buttons, but I'm worried since I was starting to strip one of the tri-wing screws.I tested New Super Mario, Castlevania, and Tetris with no trouble controlling characters or blocks.Overall, I'm satisfied with the replacement, and I suspect that it'll take a while until I'm used to the new feel of the buttons. If anyone knows a good set of pads that DO feel like the originals, I'd love to know.
