Wire was not gauged right for the duty the winch would put on the equipment. Not recommended for heavy duty winches 5000lbs and below. Needs heavier gauge e wire.

Super easy to install. Two wires to battery, two to the winch.Only negative is the wires are very short. And are not bundled into one cable. I might ring wrap with electrical wire to keep them together a bit better.

Bought a trailer that had a 2000 lb. winch, the controller was hard wired to the winch and left out in the weather. Internals corroded beyond repair. This controller was an exact match, and my winch is fully functional again.

Had an old 2000 lb ATV winch that I mounted to the wall of my shop. Use that in conjunction with a block and tackle to lift things like my mower deck and an overlanding rig that goes in the back of my truck. This remote was perfect for adding the ability to lift and lower with one hand while "steering" with the other in the case of my overlanding rig.I did clip off the connectors and extend the wires a bit, as they weren't quite as long as I would have liked. I just used some 12 gauge low voltage wire for the extensions. I also added a set of alligator clips on the power wires to so I can just hook up to the battery as needed.Seems to be a solid product and makes it so much easier to do the heavy lifting in my shop.
