Bought this along with the two way splitter for my two cavalier King Charles spaniels. Works great. It’s holding up well and we don’t have a problem with it twisting. It was worth the higher price because cheap ones wore out quickly.

I like this very much and it seems well made. I deducted one star bc the waist buckle is plastic. I honestly don't trust it and for the price I would think the manufacturer would use a metal buckle. The bungee part is great and I got the longer leash. It works very well and has made walks much more comfortable. My dog is able to move more freely and it's safer imo than a retractable leash. I would like to see an upgrade to all metal buckles plus a reflection option.

This leash has combined everything we needed into one leash! I love the hands free ability it’s great for long walks/runs. I the length is great for keeping a good distance between us. I love the bungee part of the leash it really eases the pull when she pulls hard on the leash. And the traffic handle is an extra plus!Great quality leash!

Well, this was an expensive leash... and part of me almost took a star off due to price, BUT if you stop and think, nobody made me buy it! I AGREED to this price upon purchase... so not fair to ping them for that. I also understand a company needs to make a profit to survive and I will say this is the nicest leash I have EVER seen in my life. Have had dogs since I was a little kid in the 1970s... and more leashes than I could count. I bet this one lasts longer than any other. Good if you have a beagle (mine is a whopping 45 pounds, genetic mutation!) that stubbornly goes where his nose tells him to go. This lets him pull a little without dead stops. I like it!

Great leash, now own two of them and have given as a gift. Even if you're not a runner (I'm not and neither is my APBT) its super handy. i use it when taking him in stores or other places where he needs to be restrained but i need my hands free. has handle on collar end for close control. Durable, last a lifetime I'm assuming. Own a dozen items from coats to leashes and packs, have never been unhappy with Ruffwear. Top of the line pet gear. #RuffwearRocks

To start with, IMHO, Ruffwear is the very best producer of dog products out there. Their stuff is high quality and lasts forever. This is the second one of these leashes I have purchased - the first one I've had for almost ten years - and the only reason I'm buying another one is because I got tired of the color of the first one lol. I hike a lot with my dogs, and like to use hiking poles. It's impossible to do that holding a leash. This leash attaches around me, and then to my dog, or dogs with a leash splitter, and I'm hands free to use a pole or poles and the dogs have enough space in front of me to navigate rocks or logs on their own. I can't imagine hiking without this leash - and I love the bungee part. Also, the traffic handle is an absolute must.

I run a lot with my dog and this leash is awesome. Paired with the Hi & Light my puppers and I are very happy on our outings. I like it so much, when I forgot it camping I had to order another immediately so I didn’t go without.

Well built and good design. Would have preferred the lower loop be a little closer to the end as I'd like a slightly shorter leash, but it obviously can't be the exact size to suit every combination of dog and walker.

Best leash for trail running, hikes, or just gallivanting about areas where dogs are not limited to sidewalk widths. To me, these inspire confidence and control in impulsive pups (my opinion) who are still learning the rules. The allow escape routes for walking two pups if one happens to be over reactive when they see stranger dogs. It has the grab handle near the collar/harness so to allow fast intervention when needed. Compared the 12 yo Roamer to this new tri-color version and could not be more thrilled with the updates. You can see the bungee is woven much tighter, and while it's taken me time to get used to the extra spring this creates, my dog cannot "roam" too far from me due to this, and he is learning the limits more quickly than he has walking for weeks on the older, more relaxed/albeit also stretched out version. My star deduction is due to the clasp. Wish the clasp was a carabiner instead of this tiny little swivel clip. It seems easy to undo and in trying to connect the leash to BOTH the Ruffwaer Flagline Harness (check my review of that as well as to the Ruffwear Chain Reaction Martingale collar, it is a tight fit and I worry that when pulling hard, the overlapping metal could be easily opened. It is just not as secure as a carabiner. Would love if Ruffwear could customize mine with a swivel carabiner instead - which they may need to invent first. As a decades long Ruffwear believer, this company knows what type of gear is needed to keep dogs safe while adventuring with them. None of my items have ever failed and they seem to keep the best aspects and only update what will make the products better. Performance over profit. ? Perhaps. But pups over price any day. And that's what they bank on.

My dog pulls towards different scents while walking and also has a high prey drive. That means tons of pulling when a rabbit is in sight. The shock absorption feature has been amazing for her pulling! Obviously you still feel pressure but it reduces it by a lot. The talon clip is super convenient and far superior to their locking crux clip.I’ve used a few different hands free waist leashes but this one is the best one so far. Even with the pulling, the leash is designed so that it never tightens around your waist. As a side note, the 7ft leash is very LONG. Not really suitable for walking in the city or crowded urban spaces unless you are 7ft tall yourself. It will be amazing for hikes or long walks in a spacious park. I wish there was an option to shorten the leash to help keep your dog closer when crossing streets, etc.On the other hand, the 5.5ft leash is a bit on the shorter side. I’m 5’7” and it’ll work great as a waist leash in urban spaces. It keeps her right by my side and the bungee gives her a tiny bit of freedom. I can see how it would be too long for anyone taller though.Overall, the leash is well made. If they addressed the adjustability issue, this leash would be perfect in every other way.

Ruffwear does not disappoint. Great leash, light but strong. The bungie part is great for older or small dogs as it gives a bit of buffer before pulling on their necks. The mechanism for putting the leash on is big and strong, making it easy to use and gives confidence it won't give out.The handle is thinly padded and a bit stiff at first but after breaking it in, it is pretty comfortable. It's adjustable so you could put it around your waist.I love the buckle on the handle as it makes it super easy to attach it to anything without having to loop it. When I had two dogs I'd attach both leashes together and detach easily when needed.
