I purchased a pirate outfit from another seller but it was squished and ran small. Glad I found this instead. It's very cute and complimented the outfit nicely.

A little pricey, but easy to use, and much fun was had.The folds are held by velcro which can be a little annoying though, to be honest, you can take a needle and thread and fix that with no sewing knowledge needed other than which end to point the needle :p It's a very cute hat.Mid-Range costume wear (wouldn't wear to a ren faire) but as a fun drinking costume, it sufficed!

I'm not sure why so many people said the hat was too small for their heads. I actually have a medium to large head for a woman and it fits perfectly, maybe even a little loose. But, that's fine because now I can wear a bandana/headscarf with my costume. If you plan on wearing a wig, that will definitely work just fine. The tag says 14+, but this is easily an adult size hat.True, the mold is very firm (likely plastic), but every soft tricorn hat review I've seen all said the hat was misshapen or crushed when it arrived. So, I'd rather have a hat that holds its shape, especially since I plan on wearing this every year for the Gasparilla festivities in Tampa. The hat was shipped in a large box that was packed with lots of air bubbles to keep it from being damaged - so, I appreciate the care in how it was packaged.The material is a like a microsuede and the trim is in great condition. The velcro holds the flaps up pretty well, but I imagine in time they will begin to lose its grip (this is why I gave it 4/5 stars for sturdiness). So, someday I might swap them out for snaps or glue the folds in place. I will be adding feathers and other trinkets to make this more unique, so I'll update my review with a photo once it's done.(Edit: I added a photo for reference)

I just got it, and I am so excited! The form was great, and it has Velcro bits that help keep the shape shown in the picture. It is nice and sturdy, and I am not overly worried about it becoming flat, floppy, or smooshed.

Received this item and it was way too small! The tag said 14+, which is more like a youth large. It is made of very hard plastic coated in a flocking, so it does not flex or bend at all. May work for a child's costume, but wore nothing like the photo. When I requested a return, I was informed that there would be a 15% restocking fee in addition to having to pay for the return shipping.
