The sponge separated from it’s holder on the first use. We paid $40 for it expecting the commercial grade as listed in the description. Emailed the company about getting a replacement. They said it would be sent out but it never arrived. They are not responding to any follow up emails. DO NOT BUY THIS MOP, it is a waste of money!

I was hoping for a strong steel sponge mop to replace an old, old BeeMop. I did not finish the first floor before the sponge popped out of its clamp on my FIRST mopping! As you can see in the pictures. I didn't want to pry it open to reclamp it, as I thought this might become a continous thing. It is quite a nice big sponge, but the clamp just didn't hold it. The connection to the pole at the wringing part was difficult to use the hook to put the sponge's clamp on. Also the pole is a little short, and the extension part popped out of the bottom. There isn't any real way to hold it in. It is not screwed into the bottom, just pushed. It was the only steel sponge mop I could find, but now I am on the hunt again.

The "Rubbermaid Brute Steel Roller Sponge Mop with Steel Handle" is definitely not a brute. It is functional but light weight with a light weight handle. I have used if for over a year so have considerable experience with is strengths and weaknesses. Overall it is definitely not a brute, but rather light weight mop. and more suitable for an occasional small surface wipe down rather than some serious mopping. It's biggest weakness is its sponge mop head. As it is used over time and dries over several iterations the sponge mop head shrinks. That leaves the sponge too short for the metal bracket that holds it. Therefore one must be very cautions not to nick or scratch cabinet bases or any other like obstacle. But worse than that, the sponge disintegrates after steady use. For these reasons I would not recommend it for any sort of serious mopping. Consider this, the replacement head is almost $20. And it definitely won't last.

We used this new floor mop together with Weiman floor and stone cleaner, it works a treat, as outlined in the title, not thin cheap and plastick-y but super strong steel and durable, long-lasting, great! Highly recommended.However, as an addition to my earlier review, we've used the mop just twice on our tile floors, and the sponge broke off the metal slider part that you slide onto the base of the map. So, already using the spare that came with the mop, this part is not great.

Bastante malo, compre 2, de uno la esponja no duró más de 10 usos y se empezo a romper. Y el otro, al exprimirlo se salio la esponja de la barra que lo soporta y ya no sirvió. Pensé que por la marca seria un producto bueno, pero no fue así, me decepcionó totalmente. He usado otros trapeadores similares de otras marcas, muy corrientes los mangos, pero las esponjas duran mucho y son mucho más eficientes.

I had a mop from the state fair I used for about 30 years. I have never been able to find one equal to that one. Time to look for a new mop and I found this one. I have hardwood floors,it does an awsome job. The head is very good quality. The handle works loose and comes apart.I will put a clamp on as sudgested in another comment.The ringer handle does flip the other way at times also. The way the head attaches is like my old mop and it works very well. This is the closest mop to my old one I have found in about 12 years. all in all a good mop,problems are miner.
