This repair is NOT for beginners or the faint of heart. 😂 And wow am I glad I didn't try it while my kids were awake - SO many tiny parts/screws. Overall, this kit worked perfectly. I did need some different screwdrivers/tools to make it work. The video they provide a QR code for is not great. There's no talking/voiceover. I found another video on YouTube that had much better instruction. Now my Cricut Maker works good as new, and I didn't have spend hundreds of dollars on a new one (but my fingers were sore for a few days after all this tiny, tedious work)!

Let me tell ya right off, no matter what kit you buy this is not an easy repair. It takes a lot of patience, but that is Cricut and their lack of design. As far as this kit, the pieces are very durable and as long as you follow all the instructions they fit like a glove. I recommend watching a video on how to replace these and then do it while you watch the video. I hope I don't have to use the additional parts anytime soon. Definitely great value.

I craft with Cricut Explore Air 2 and the Maker. My Maker rollers were sliding out of place. I bought this kit to help replace them. These items work great but opening the Cricut up was a huge huge pain in the butt! It takes man power and more than an hour to do. I followed a YouTuber to follow along with but it was still difficult. Product fits great and I hope outlasts my machine

Really good product, works perfectly, but the introduction they gave us were a little complicated it. Had to watched videos from YouTube to change it.

Nice kit. My rubbers were moving but the retaining rings solved my problem

When my Cricut Maker's rubber rollers wore out (they kept moving along the roller bar, getting out of alignment and jamming my mat), I called Cricut and was told that I would have to buy a whole new machine! WHAT?! Instead, I looked up some videos to see if I could replace the rollers, and I found a video that recommended checking Amazon for replacements. I chose this product because it came with the retaining rings to keep the rubber rollers from moving (the problem I was having with my old rollers). It also came with the tiny screwdrivers that I needed to take apart the machine. The repair took about 3 hours from start to finish, and let me tell you, it was a bit of a pain at times! The most annoying part was unscrewing the inside top screws that I couldn't even see! I basically had to feel around and stick the screwdriver where I thought the screw was. The allen wrench screwdriver tool that comes with this set (I don't know what it's actually called!) was a lifesaver for that part, since it was just the right size and shape to fit up underneath the inside cover to get out those annoying screws. Needle-nose pliers also came in handy for some of the C-clamps I had to take out of the machine. Pliers do not come with the set, but I had a pair already. There's a QR code with a link to video instructions that came in the bag, but I didn't use that video, so I don't know how helpful it is. I used the original video I found online to help me take apart my Cricut.I have cut a couple of things with my Cricut since replacing the rollers, and everything is working fine so far! The rubber rollers work just as well as the original ones did when I first bought my machine 4 years ago, and I would recommend this product!

First let me say that the product itself is excellent hence the rating. It even comes with a few small tools to make the repair less miserable for those with 10 thumbs. However, if you do have 10 thumbs and the only tools you own were bought from the grocery store, then just STOP NOW. Cricut is the real culprit for a poor design, built by poor engineers. Disassembly of the case is difficult, and requires multiple versions of close quarter screwdrivers, Philips and Torx, preferably magnetized. Need a flashlight also. Need small magnetic mini pliers to put the cir-clips back on the roller. There are multiple tedious steps, and delicate parts that have to be removed and then replaced again. All to get that stupid rod out of the machine just to replace two rubber rollers worth $2. Btw, the rubbers install better with starter fluid as a lube, which evaporates quickly, leaves no residue, and cleans the rubber so it will grab. Blame CRICUT manufacturing, for not offering a recall. Personally I give 8 to 1 odds of failing to complete this repair. If you do succeed, congratulations, one less Cri-Cut in the landfill.
