Your cart is empty.After hearing numerous requests to look into the rear bumper mount on the Traxxas Slash, we found several issues that could use the RPM touch. Those same problems were encountered on e-Rustler, e-Stampede & Bandit vehicles using the stock wheelie bar mount. The problem – the stock mount uses only a single screw on the gear cover side to hold the mount in place. That causes a hinge effect under rear impacts causing the slotted area holding on to the rear skid plate to pop off after an impact, leaving the stock bumper/wheelie bar mount hanging under the chassis. The RPM solution An all-new bumper mounting system that eliminates all of the problems encountered with the stock version. The RPM rear bumper/wheelie bar mount has two mounting holes on the gear cover side and three on the motor side – that's two additional mounting points to eliminate that annoying hinge effect mentioned above. The additional mounting screws help disperse impact energy into the transmission case over more surface area, reducing the possibility of damaging the case significantly! The new RPM mount design means no more slotted parts hanging below the rear skid plate – ever! Our mount tucks up quite nicely behind the skid plate for better rear end ground clearance. Our rear bumper/wheelie bar mount fits a wide range of vehicles too. It fits all versions of the Traxxas Slash, electric Stampede, electric Rustler and Bandit including VXL, XL-5 and legacy versions. The RPM rear bumper/wheelie bar mount is molded in our nearly indestructible blend of nylons and is sold in either blue or black. Bought this to protect my motor, does a great job. Now when I bottom out it doesn't scratch the bottom of my motor. What can I say it's RPM of course it's good.

Great anchor for bumper frame and motor protector. Just get a little longer M3 screws and you can mount the RPM motor protector as an extension beyond the bumper mounting arms.

The stock bumper isn't all that great because it pops out of place(where it slides onto the chassis)easily and grass and other debris gets caught up in it also. The RPM bumper resolves those issues and I think it lines up better than the stock version for when you use a wheelie bar.

Remember that aluminum parts are great for durability(in most cases)BUT structural integrity is compromised at the attachment point where polymer meets metal............:- }That being said RPM is a basher's best friend !

The stock Traxxas bumper holder sucks, because it has these clips in which connect to the skid plate, and they often get loose and chip. My original bumper holder would collect grass and dirt every time the clip snapped out of position, so you had to keep snapping it back every time it got disconnected. It wasn't very well designed. I had finally had enough so I ordered one of these and it's no longer a problem. The RPM plastics are rock hard and look great. There are no clips so you no longer have to worry about collecting grass, dirt etc. The blue color looks awesome too!
