I love dough bowls for candle making but finding well-made bowls that have a wide range of appeal to various tastes is difficult to find but these do the trick! They are a great rectangular size, large enough for a substantive display but not too large where it takes up too much room or the wax won't burn evenly or. The white has almost a white-wash look in that the grain of the wood comes through in some areas. It is a little rough in some patches but that doesn't take away from them, in my opinion, as that matches the naturally rustic feel of the dough bowl.Overall, definitely please with these and will look to get the finishes as well!

I ordered the white colored bowls which still slightly show the wood grain, which adds a nice touch. These are unique/beautiful candle holders or to bowls display other items. I have some glittery, pine cones and other decorative balls and items in frosty, winter colors which will look fabulous in these pretty, lightweight, bowls.

These are great for candles. They make a decent-sized candle and look beautiful. As I read through other reviews, I noticed a comment about them being unsafe for candles because the orange slice caught on fire. First off, you are not supposed to put anything but wax into a candle - it wouldn't matter what you used as the vessel. Another comment stated that they were not good for candles because they did not burn evenly; that is a wicking issue, not a vessel issue. These will be perfectly safe as long as you use them safely.

These dough bowls are well made, and can fit three tea lights comfortably, four if you squish them. I've had fun making a candle with one of them, and looking forward to experimenting with the others.

The candle does not burn evenly inside this, so it burns a little cave into the wax, which makes your candle nearly useless. If you use white wax, be ready for it to change to an unpleasant off-white from the stain on the wood. Meh.

Was really excited about these and used them to gift candles but they caught fire. In the pictures it shows the orange i places in there catching fire but then leading to the outside edge caught the candle container on fire. I just didn’t expect that from a product made for candles

These are light and not deep. For candle making it wouldn't be very safe in my opinion due to the thin wood, small wax area, and low setting to the surface. Would prefer something thicker..

These dough bowls look nice and are a nice size for candle making. They do have a rough texture and are stained medium-dark brown. I like that they are not sealed so I can add another layer of stain and seal it with a finish that I like. The listing states that it's wood, but it's very lightweight, so it doesn't feel like good quality wood, but it serves it's decorative purposes.
