I needed sand to fill a lamp I made to display seashells I got from the gulf. This was perfect. You can get different colors too! Highly recommend!

The sand matched the color selected and the texture matched the product description. The only issues were that the lid was on crooked so it was difficult to open the container, the seal was not intact so sand leaked out, and there were several chunks of something unidentifiable in the sand. Still, plenty of usable product for the shell display. Might take a chance on ordering a different color for a different project.

I thought 4 pounds of sand would be a lot more than it is. It took half of it - 2 pounds - to partly fill just one medium candy dish and one small bowl (which I'm going use to display some crystals in). The sand is nice and soft, and I don't think it will cause scratching like crushed stones would...but I'll have to buy more sand to fill my 4 my remaining bowls. So this ended up being a lot of money for not much sand to work with, and the lid wasn't on securely, so that during shipping some sand spilled into the box and was all over the container when I opened it.
