These are compact and lightweight, but that describes the class of product rather than these specific ones. These felt cheaply made, and I can't see them surviving many cycles of opening/closing. This said, they are handy. Lots of degrees of freedom for the head, and can extend quite a bit. Mine came as a pack of two, which I guess will be useful if one breaks or for particularly hidden spots.

When I usually want to see behind something, or to try to read a serial number on something without moving too much around, I usually used a handheld mirror that I keep in the bathroom. It's pretty big and hard to fit in tight spaces, and my only other option is a very tiny dental mirror. These inspection mirrors are between the large and small, and a very convenient size to keep handy. They seem pretty sturdy and I didn't feel they were too cheap for the listed price. There's a clip for keeping them attached to a pocket while working, and the telescoping handle works well, and makes it versatile lengthwise. The mirror is high quality too, not just a cheap mirrored piece of plastic, so I'm pretty happy with them. The adjustment hinge has 2 swivel points that twist so you can really put this in any position imaginable. I have tropical fish that I breed, and sometimes I wish I had a more convenient way to look around for eggs on a plant or inside a cave, but I'm not so sure they'd hold up under water for very long and not become rusty, but for getting different perspectives from the outside of the tanks, and viewing in tight spaces from behind, these are fabulous. Getting 2 pieces for the price is a bonus as well, thank you.
